PathWalker Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 (edited) The lessons have different numbers depending on which version of the HallowQuest book you are using! Don't worry, just find the Stone Realm and begin This is the first lesson of the Stone Realm, in which we visit the Stone Castle in meditation, do some considering of our own selves, and - if we wish - conduct a ceremony to welcome in the Stone Hallow . I had begun working with stone suit years ago and then left it. Here is a link to the original entry on the Aeclectic Tarot forum. I don't think anyone else was joining in at this point! http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?p=2983841 Edited November 21, 2019 by PathWalker
PathWalker Posted November 21, 2019 Author Posted November 21, 2019 Looking back in my journal, I find it was seven years ago that I tried to start work on this set of lessons and then stopped! Intending to do much better this time (positive affirmation and so forth ) The questions read as follows: 1. What wisdom do you seek at this time of your life? 2. Who are the family of your spiritual lineage; from whom have you inherited the wisdom you currently have? 3. If you were to die tomorrow, what spiritual legacy would you like to leave to the world? In seven years my answers have got pithier, and a bit less self-centered, but not hugely much different honestly. In meditation we visit the realm of North, and the Stone castle. Here I meet the Stone Queen, not surprising to me as she is shown seated at the window of the castle on her card. What does surprise me is that when, in the dark, I am encouraged to call out to someone "of my spiritual lineage" I choose to call out to Merlin. Not that I'm suggesting I'm related to Merlin!! but that his role as magic-worker, a shaper from the shadows, a person steeped in lore and myth-knowledge, these aspects seem akin to how I'd like to be. PathWalker Posted November 21, 2019 Author Posted November 21, 2019 On the subject of the seasonal celebrations: For starters, having decided to work the lessons according to my own personal feeling for the seasonal calendar, I'm out of sync with the timing for this ceremony (which is designated to take place at winter equinox). I'm also not a great one for long wordy/waffly ceremonies when there's just me. What I did do was create a small alter on my workroom windowsill, with the central place occupied by a special piece of stone. I dedicated myself to the study, asking my deities to bless the study and make it fruitful. I see and hold the stone each day as I gaze out, as I open or close the curtains and windows, it's a daily reminder to continue. That works for me. If you go ahead with the whole ceremony perhaps you could share how it went for you, how you feel it's helping with your quest? best wishes in the wonter PathWalker )0(
