AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 (edited) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wilderwoventarot/the-wilderwoven-tarot a lovely nature based deck, happy to back it. Look close at the cards, I'm quite impressed at the silhouettes he chose to represent each card. Pledges are shown in Canadian dollars, the cost in other currency will be shown when you pledge, but before you click submit. Edited December 5, 2019 by AJ-ish/Sharyn
xTheHermitx Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 yep...I am in...this will be a pretty unique deck for me since I am usually a traditionalist, but it just spoke to me!!!
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted August 27, 2020 Author Posted August 27, 2020 Greg has the decks in hand! Looks like delivery made a dump and run 😉 I think most artists start with a few doodles, a maybe idea... the reality in hand must be exhilarating.
Decan Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Thanks for the pics! Fortunately the weather was good, because if it had rained over the boxes...oops Otherwise artists at this point (reception and shipping) need to be organized like a military, no less!
xTheHermitx Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I can't wait to get his deck!!! That pic of the boxes was so good to see. I do not envy him for having to do all of the logistics for shipping tho
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted September 9, 2020 Author Posted September 9, 2020 deck in hand! very smooth cardstock which I like, as I fan the cards to draw. thought I'd share a few cards.
xTheHermitx Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 my most favorite so far are: 1. The Hermit (of course 😉 ) 2. Knight of Pentacles - nothing more solitary and independent as a mountain goat!!! 3. The Wheel of Fortune 4. The Chariot 5. the whole Pentacles suit 6. The Star 7. The Moon but I really like all of them. The deck is speaking pretty loudly to me right now!
Little Fang Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 I am happy to have finally relieved this deck! I'm quite partial to the court of pentacles, but I have a lot of "deer energy"
GregWhite Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Hey everyone, I'm Greg, the creator of the deck. Here to answer any questions you may have. Thankfully, the shipment arrived on a day with perfect weather and they called beforehand to ensure that I was home. Shipping was a big task that took many days of full-time work. But when I felt myself getting tired, I remembered that I was sending something to people that believed in me, my art, and this deck. That gave me the boost I needed. :)
GregWhite Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Just now, Little Fang said: Wow, welcome to the forum Greg! ❤ Thanks Little Fang. 🙂
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted September 18, 2020 Author Posted September 18, 2020 Greg, I'm curious about your artistic style, do you start with a photograph? I'm drawn to watercolor images which is one of the things that first drew me to support your deck. Physical brush and paint, or generated in another way? Thank you for dropping by, we have a great forum here, I hope you will take an active part in other areas too.

Hi Sharyn, For these tarot images, they all began as a pencil drawing with the outline first and then the inner content. When the drawing was complete, I'd transfer it to watercolor paper with the help of a lightpad. After that it's physical brush and (watercolor) paint for the most part. Occasionally I'd use a white gel pen or white gouache for highlights. (For example, the stars in the Chariot.) I use reference photos (that I've taken) for landscape inspiration and (Google images) for animals that I'm not very familiar with. Looking forward to checking out more of this forum. 🙂
