Page of Ghosts Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 The Maria de Celia and Shadowscapes. I'm not too tempted as I'm also trying to get some use out of the decks I have ^-^
Siavahda Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 I'm trying to convince myself I don't need the 3rd edition of the Prisma Visions when I already have the 2nd!
Whisper Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 I'm trying to convince myself I don't need the 3rd edition of the Prisma Visions when I already have the 2nd! But the third is in full colour, right? This is one that is really tempting me.
MoonGypsy Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Well...eek...i just crossed an Indy deck of my Wish List... It had been on my list for quite a while, as it is not cheap even before the posting cost from the UK...but i finally bit the bullet and ordered it. i learned about it after the Indy go go campaign was over. It is the gorgeous Green Wheel oracle Deck and Book Set by Danielle Barlow. here is a review by Peculiar Daughter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc9H9UqXass You can order it here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/576283263/the-green-wheel-oracle-set?ref=shop_home_active_7

But the third is in full colour, right? This is one that is really tempting me. I think all the Prisma Visions' are in full color; it's the Light Visions that is in black &white/gold. The only real difference between Prisma editions is the 'extra' card - in the 2nd it's the keys, in the 3rd it's Illumination. Which I really like the concept of, hence the grabby hands for the 3rd edition XD

Do you know the size of the cards?

Do you know the size of the cards? I can't dig out my copy just now to measure them, but they're what I think of as 'normal' tarot size. That's probably not helpful, but there's a lovely video here that shows both the Prisma and Light Visions decks side-by-side, which should give you an idea of size as well as show you the differences between the decks :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_QBHYk-45A&t=309s

Bookworm Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 So many decks are tempting me right now -- Tabula Mundi, Asherah, Ellis, Japardize, Sidhe -- and I am trying not to spend money. BUT my birthday is fast approaching so I think it would be wrong not to order one or two. 8)
Lantana Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 The Tarot of the Crone is on my top spot of my wishlist. Will probably be asking it for my birthday next month. Other than that, I’m tempted by the Golden Thread Tarot (a deck I’ve been waffling on for a looong time) and backing the Considerate Cat Tarot. The later I’m on the fence on, but the USD to CAD makes it cheaper than most indie decks, so... :-X

Tarot of the Crone is one of my favorite decks! i have both the very rare first edition [with all the goodies] and the 3rd edition, which is the one i use regularly. i don't have the Golden Thread, but i have been waffling about it, too, for a long time! i don't know about the Considerate Cat Tarot [ i am generally a huge fan of cat decks, being a cat mommy]. i will have to go google it... ETA: i just backed the Considerate Cat Tarot!!! Thanks, Lantana!!! And one of the creator's own cats looks so much like our Pookie! [The roundish Tortie]
Whisper Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 BUT my birthday is fast approaching so I think it would be wrong not to order one or two. 8) You absolutely have the right to treat yourself!! <3
Jewel Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 So many decks are tempting me right now -- Tabula Mundi, Asherah, Ellis, Japardize, Sidhe -- and I am trying not to spend money. BUT my birthday is fast approaching so I think it would be wrong not to order one or two. 8) Do it Bookworkm :) I was in the same boat as you and I ordered two decks for myself for my b-day (Victorian Fairy Tarot & Every Day Witch) and I am really glad I did. It was a small treat that I will enjoy for years to come and I did not totally break the bank with it either. In the past my b-day has been a time where I indulge in getting a more expensive deck, but due to wanting to save money I went with something mass market that I was interested in and got two and it still came out cheaper than my usual b-day splurges on one deck. I say treat yourself!
Flaxen Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 So many decks are tempting me right now -- ....Ellis, Japardize, Sidhe -- and I am trying not to spend money. I can easily enable you on these 3...[emoji48] Personally, I'm feeling very tempted by both the Dark Days and the Gorgons.
Bookworm Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I can easily enable you on these 3...[emoji48] Well, maybe you should! ;D If you were going to buy two of these three, which would they be?

Bookworm Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 You absolutely have the right to treat yourself!! <3 Thank you, Shivani! You're right! <3
Jewel Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Thanks, Jewel. It was your birthday splurge that got me wanting to do the same! :) LOL always a pleasure to be a good influence ;D .... I am happy to enable you in regards to the Tarot of the Sidhe :)
Flaxen Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I can easily enable you on these 3...[emoji48] Well, maybe you should! ;D If you were going to buy two of these three, which would they be? If I was picking 2 I would absolutely go for the Japaridze and the Sidhe. The Japaridze has the most beautiful surrealist images - like tarot reimagined in a dreamscape. The Sidhe is a great deck for connecting with the Faery realm - they pull no punches but are patient.

Bookworm, you have been following the work I am doing with the Tarot of the Sidhe this month, so you have an idea of what they bring to the table. I find them to be profound, and if you are not afraid to face the punches when they come and appreciate the honesty you will find great value in working with this deck. I would recommend this deck. The companion book only gives you a poem and some key words for the minors, but honestly that is all you need. The images are very powerful.
Bookworm Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Thank you, Flaxen and Jewel. I think your work here is done! Both decks are affordable too. Everybody wins. :)
Jewel Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Thank you, Flaxen and Jewel. I think your work here is done! Both decks are affordable too. Everybody wins. :) ROFLMAO I am somewhat tempted by The Vampyre Tarot by Ian Daniels ....
sandrang123 Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I've been curious about the Fairy Lights tarot.
Flaxen Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 I am somewhat tempted by The Vampyre Tarot by Ian Daniels .... I'm not massively into vampires but this deck is gorgeous. It's sumptuous - lots of lace, velvet, brooding and a dark sensuality. Very atmospheric and the companion book is great.
MoonGypsy Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 i am not particularly into Vampires, either....but i AM very much into Ian Daniels ART and writing. i have and love that deck...the book itself is worth the price of admission into his world!!!
