AeonHorus Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 In the third and final phase we will travel from 15 ~ Nature right on through to the finite 21 ~ The World Tree, on the concluding path to illumination. In our search for enlightenment our inner Fool has developed their personality, explored their sub-consciousness and is now moving onwards to their final goal of the individuated self. The finality here is represented by The World Tree. Nature being the first card in this third cycle is indeed a fitting card as we can see the pure and raw power that nature provides all around us in our daily lives, whether we live in the woods, the country or even in the city, nature in all his glory is all around us. Nature is power, nature is instinct and nature is desire. Next up we find the illumination of the tower gives us both the insight and the strength to demolish what is no longer needed in our lives and therefore imbues upon us the energy to rebuild what we have destroyed. The dynamic energies of the star gives us hope and grants any wish a pure soul should choose to make and the moon shines his illusionary dream essence on us to make all our dreams come alive. But we need to watch him as he is a tricky little fellow, for with the glory of illusion also comes the worry of delusion, so we can never really trust in the message that he gives us, we always need to look deeper! But the sun on the other hand is the life giver in all her sun kissed glory, she has power beyond all reckoning for she is our closest star, thus taking us nicely on to the harvest and the potential of rebirth, then finally culmination in the sense of pristine joy and adulation with a wholeness of unadulterated and divine wisdom of the World Tree.
AeonHorus Posted January 24, 2020 Author Posted January 24, 2020 15 ~ Nature:~ A young, handsome looking man of the forest is in the foreground looking at a rather nasty bear trap set up on a known animal run with Comfrey aka Salsify growing along its edges representing the Crone aspect of the Goddess and healing (As a poultice or a tea, comfrey may be applied to bites, sores, rashes, broken bones, and cuts). A bear looks on behind him, symbolising primal power and intuition married along with instinct. Which leads me to beg the question “What exactly is he doing”? Is he actually setting the trap or simply sabotaging it? In the background we see five Satyrs dancing in a faerie glade with magick all abounds. As well we know Pan the god of all nature was also a Satyr and as Pan was later demonised by the Romans, hence the Devil is the true nature of this portrait. Capricornus being an Earth sign shares many traits with Pan (the Devil) in that he is truly awakened to his responsibilities in life, set with a sheer abundance of liberation but on the downside there is also the risk that too much dancing around the proverbial magickal fires in the woods late into the night or even until the early mornings, may lead you down the dark paths of addiction and gluttony. This all makes me think more deeply about the man with the trap. I personally would like to think that he is sabotaging it and the bear behind him is his friend, others may think he is setting it and the bear is ready to pounce. Either way this is a card of consequence, so whichever action he takes is the right one for him at this particular time in space. He just simply needs to understand that for every action there is a positive or negative reaction.
