19 - The Sun

19 ~ The Sun:~ It is high noon and the sun is at its zenith, there is an eagle soaring in the blue skies above a beautiful thatched cottage with a sunflower garden. The eagle bestows upon us great intelligence, courage and a chance for renewal. The sun is a most auspicious card and brings luck in all aspects of everything we could either wish or hope for. The Sunflowers too are allegorical to spiritual knowledge, good luck, nourishment and focus. The sun is the great life giver but it can also become the great destroyer of everything that we know, but it is all part of the great cycles of the cosmos, without life there is no death but without death there can be no life. There is nothing but pure profusion of all things good in this image here, we see smoke out the chimney, but the fire is not for warmth, it is for the cooking pot which is full from the harvest. There is a cart half full of straw that is set there for repairs to the roof if and when it needs it. Behind the cart the fields are ripe for the picking, as are the sunflowers, indicating that the hard work has all but been done and now, just a few more steps to take and then it will be time to sit back, relax and take life in its stride. There is nothing here but plenty.
