How do I create my profile avatar?

It’s under your profile. Click on your name to get to it. Here’s what it looks like on mobile view. It’s the landscape symbol to the left of my image that changes the profile picture

What size and file type is best for avatars? Mine is rather blurry and needs fixing.

Mine's a jpg; I  have in my time uploaded a great big one and the software did the thing. This one was small to start with - but seems to be bigger than yours.
