My apologies for taking so long to get back to you on this. Here is the reply I received about the tracking #.

 

 

Adriana is her sister. I also received a message from Ana that we should receive a tracking # as well. Ana thought it will be coming directly from the printer, but she wasn't 100% sure about that.

This was from last night and the images of the boxes ready to go are from the day prior. And the customs clearance question is about the 200 decks going directly to her as backups for damaged decks or lost shipments.

An announcement was just made on the Bonestone facebook group - The shipping company have just told her that they need everyone's phone number to be able to send out the shipping notifications to everyone, especially for Germany and Sweden. So if you have ordered a deck, please message her through Etsy your number.

She says she will be messaging everyone about this, but if we have watched the video to send a message with the details as it would make it a little easier for her, so I thought I would let you know here. 🙂

Wow... She sent emails out in bulks, but she used the CC line instead of BCC!!! 😱 This is a massive security breach, now everybody have my email address, and on top of that; there are people who hit reply to "all" so everybody now have their phone numbers and addresses on top of their emails...Emails are used as login on Paypal and other sites that contain financial and sensitive information! You can get a massive financial fine for a security breach like this!

That doesn't sound right at all. I've gotten shipping notifications from all over the world without giving out my phone number.
For the people who want their information via text, OK, but a lot of people prefer email.

What a situation!!

For the phone when it is required but I don’t want to give it (this can happen), I replace the last 4 numbers by 0000

I don’t know why they require the phone number at times, likely to cold calling I guess, but I’m against that.

Yes I noticed and immediately informed her. I am not sure if she has done something to try and fix things. It would be good if she sent out a message telling everyone what happened and that they must not reply to that email.

I'm watching this deck progress for a while & happy it finally got printed & shipped!:D Ana Art is Amazing & i'm sure book will be interesting!:) also I can confirm every professional shipping provider require tel number as some carriers call person & check if you are home & won't bother to drop your parcel or let you know there is one waiting for you otherwise! X.x facepalm if you don't provide one sender usually just fill it's own number but it's usually not a big deal & in 90%normal countries you will never miss a call or parcel!;) also BCC mail/newsletter mistake easy to slip if you are not careful to check it each time in advance!x.x but on bright side I think everyone delete these *newsletter mails anyway so hopefully no damage made?x.x 🙂

I'd already messaged her my number on etsy, and didn't get the email... this is good.... (But ANYONE who "replies to all" has only themselves to blame.)

 

I know that DHL always demands a phone number - and uses it ! so no doubt others do too. But that was an appalling breach on her part. The damage is already done - many people now have the emails of other people who may not have wanted them to have that. The one I use on etsy is NOT one I give out to many people, to name but one.

Yeah I'll add that compulsory phone number, especially for overseas from China, has been the norm in my experience. As Decan said I just put in something fake if I'm concerned.

 

This little gaff of hers is *exactly* why I don't use my super secret personal email for anything like Etsy or such, just an auto-forward. ugh. sorry to hear it for all of you who got hit. 😕

Not mine. But the Chinese goods I order are items other than cards, so that might be different. They usually ship China Post.

Mine has shipped too - apparently it’s on a plane to its destination country. After all this time, it will be good to have it in my hands.

The ones that sent her their phone number first will get their deck first. 

Well in THAT case, as I sent mine AT ONCE through etsy.... I got her thanks while all the kerfuffle was still running - but mine has not been mailed yet...

She sent all the first phone numbers directly to the printers so they could start shipping. She then received a list of all the tracking numbers and are sending those manually to everyone. That’s what’s taking time. She received several hundred numbers at once. Our packages might still be on their way, it’s just the tracking number that’s taking time. I believe some people received their decks before their tracking number. Several

people have gotten their decks already so it’s definitely happening. The printers worked fast! 

I wish she had worked as fast in the first place
