Hi, I can’t find anywhere else in the drop down arrow to introduce myself, so I’m here.  I’m very new to tarot and a little bit addicted to buying decks ! I have the original Rider Waite deck and also The Gilded Tarot.  On a daily card basis the tarot seems to be very accurate so far.  I also have Doreen Virtue - Archangel Oracle Cards, which in a daily basis have also been very accurate.  My problems stem on doing a bigger spread.  I don’t seem to be able to equate the spread into the reason for the spread. Does anyone know if there are any online course that they would recommend or if that’s not allowed, perhaps could point me in the direction of some websites that might....... or perhaps give me your own journeys to learning tarot and what you all found helpful and how long it took you to feel at a reasonable level for your own readings ? Ive recently lost my dad and so the spreads have been to ask whether I’m doing everything right to help my mum through it all and stuff like that.

Welcome :animated-smileys-waving-065:to the forum, @Nelliebarr

While I won't direct you to another website as I feel where you have landed *right here at TT&M* is an excellent site for learning. Many of us, me included, were on another long-running popular tarot forum that is now closed. My advice is, first, practice, practice, practice. Second, go through the forums here and you'll find all kinds of information and helpful others. Start journaling--you can do that right here, too! Ask questions (must have five posts before asking interpretations though--read Rules and Information).

Thank you. I’ve read a lot about being instinctive and what do I see in the card I pick, but I don’t seem to be that intuitive by just looking........I long to be like it though !
