Hi, I'm new here.  I've been a student of astrology for umm, yeah, a little over twenty years.  I like learning horary, Vedic natal (so--oooo much to learn), medieval, decumbiture, and  mundane.  I am just beginning to mix some other systems with astrology for enhanced readings.  I'm very interested in the possibilities of mixing an astrology spread with Lenormand cartomancy, for example.  I'm here because I'd like to try some new things if anyone is willing to  help out.

 

Currently, I'm trying out a spread that is placed on a sheet I designed with drawings of each of the 36 cards already placed, as in a GT: 1-2-3 in the first house, 4-5-6 in the second, and so on.  I place three cards in each house, then link the cards either with the chain method, or read house by house.  The astrological houses add another layer of meaning to the reading of each of the cards.  The chart can be turned to express relationships between the houses as in horary: for example, the money of my child is the second of the fifth house, the health of my child is the sixth of the fifth, etc. 

 

I think it's been helpful to ask the question as a variation of "Tell me the story of. . . ".  I seem to get a more coherent reading with this sort of phrasing.  While shuffling, I usually picture one of the cards as a central focus of the reading, so I know where to begin.

Actually, I was thinking of offering a reading to anyone who would like to ask a question.  I would be using an astrology-based spread with Lenormand cards, but I don't require the person who asks to know or be interested in astrology.
