Wichura Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 Self-explanatory topic title! How important would you say that this is? Creating a narrative to go with your deck? Or do you prefer "letting the images speak for themselves" when you do your tarot?  I think I want to include all these type of writings to my Tarot deck 😄 Like... A fairytale that runs through the Major Arcana archetypes... then some short poems / short stories for the Minor cards. Some personal anecdotes disguised as a guide book? 😄 I'm being really serious however, I find the accompanying stories like the ones in Shadowscapes or Aeclectics Tarot stories really inspiring!
and_it_spoke Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 I just want to say that I love the approach to thinking about decks. I've never made a deck, but seeing one as poem is such a head-spinning rush. Thanks for the new thought!
