Morgan3 Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 I recently purchased the light visions tarot deck (third edition I believe) and it has a matte finish, it is incredibly difficult to shuffle. The cards keep sticking together and not in the way that glossy cards stick together.. I mean it's like the cards have been glued, it's so difficult to pry them apart sometimes. Has anyone had tarot cards like this before? Will they get easier to shuffle with time? I really like them but I wish I could shuffle them properly.
Merrick Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 (edited) Those are gilded, right? I have the Green Glyphs Lenormand from the same artist and the holding on that was sticky when I first got it too. I suggest doing some riffle shuffling to help the cards separate. I do have the Prisma Visions tarot and it is glossy and gilded, but no stickiness. Go figure. Edited May 25, 2020 by Merrick
Morgan3 Posted May 25, 2020 Author Posted May 25, 2020 Thank you, I'll try riffle shuffling 😊 yeah they're gilded. They're really thick as well so might be difficult to riffle at first. I like the prisma deck too, it was a tough choice between that and light visions.

I love the colors of the Prisma Visions but I cannot deny that the higher contrast sepia tones of Light Visions make some of the imagery far more clear.
Morgan3 Posted May 25, 2020 Author Posted May 25, 2020 Yeah I agree although I think the devil card in the prisma visions looks clearer. In the little book that comes with the light visions, it talks about there being a snake on the devil card, I honestly can't see it haha
