Hello All, 

 

My name is Jennie and I am here new here to the forum.  I recently picked up my tarot cards again after a long while of not using them, and really want to gain my confidence back with reading for myself and eventually for others too.  I am using a workbook to reacquaint myself with all of the individual card meanings, and hope to learn the most I can from other members here about interpreting card combinations (this is where I always get stuck).  I am looking forward to interacting with you all, sharing ideas, tips, tricks, and exchanging readings once I get more comfortable in my abilities.

I am using "The Tarot Workbook - Understanding and Using Tarot Symbolism" by Emily Peach... it was published in 1990.  Picked it up from a used book store years ago since it had the Hermit card on the front (and I'm a Virgo), but this is the first time I am actually following the steps as it says.  Just using a regular Rider-Waite deck, I really want to nail down the basics.  I tend to get distracted by advancing too fast or by different types of desks and then I get overwhelmed and lose interest, so focusing on follow through this time and hoping it will stick.  It's been a long time since I have really learned something new.   🙂
