I've been interested in the tarot for years and have finally committed to some intensive study this year (hence joining a forum like this one). I've always been interested in the spiritual/intuitive/magical dimensions of this world and tarot seems like an excellent "language" to learn to be able to enhance communication with the quieter inner realms. Looking forward to the journey 🙂

I'm new to tarot, less than 6 months, but I know all the cards, have done a few reading for friends and family, but I'm looking to be better at making the connections between the cards in the spread, how to deal with cards that don't fit properly in the narrative I'm trying to establish in a reading, and just how to be better and more informed about Tarot. Hopefully I can gain some insight from some of you more experienced Tarotists.

Hello all, I'm phthalogreen! I’ve been interested in tarot cards since I was young and got my RW deck when I was 13. Unfortunately, even after more than a decade of dabbling, I am not exactly gifted when it comes to readings and interpretation, especially seeing how the cards in a spread work together. When I do readings for myself, I try to pay attention to my own gut feeling and understanding of the cards, but typically end up frantically Googling meanings for each card, second guessing, and becoming confused and unclear. I also tend to immediately jump to a negative view of a reading unless it is overwhelmingly, beat-you-over-the-head-with-a-rainbow positive. I'm at…

Hi I'm new here. I've been practicing divination with tarot and playing cards for a about a year now. I'm still don't think I'm quite an expert on it but I've learned so much doing readings for myself and my friends. My username comes from looking up my birth cards and finding out that my cards are The Emperor and Death. BTW I know this is a sensitive subject but are we allowed to discuss predictions for politics here? I didn't see it in the rules but I enjoy doing readings for political figures. If it's against the rules I'll understand though.

After lurking for what feels like forever, I thought it's about time I introduced myself. (Better late than never I guess!) I'm akiva, I predominantly read with Marseille, noblet being my favourite. I also dabble in lenormand, sibilla, piquet playing cards and occasionally kipper. My first ever tarot deck was the enochian tarot. Which was like throwing myself to the sharks before I could swim! Hello everyone! I am a beginner in Tarot readings (However I am rather experienced in a romantic reading using playing cards and also rather good in the Lenormand method), so I got myself the Smith-Waite Centennial Edition as a first deck. Hello! Though I have been studying tarot since 2005, it's definitely a hobby the ebbs and flows for me. Aeclectic collapsed during one of my ebbing periods (my username was the same on there), but recently I've found myself called back to the hobby with the specific interest of learning how to read the Tarot de Marseille (and probably the Thoth later on). The conversations on the Marseille in this forum have become quite active in the last few weeks, so I wanted to join in order to participate and share what I've uncovered. Looking forward to it!
