I'm new to tarot. Bought my first deck this year during the summer. Now I have Ethereal Visions tarot and tarot of pagan cats (this is recent). I want to become a better reader and learn from you 🙂

Hi, I have just joined TT&M and am just starting to get back into tarot reading. I dabbled in it a bit several years ago, but have not had my cards out for such a long time!! Very much a beginner, I am looking forward to gaining insight on this forum and getting help with my readings to see if I am interpreting them correctly. It get so overwhelming trying to understand all the meanings of the cards and how they interact with each other, I am really happy to have found this forum :)

As a student and reader of the Tarot I have lived my life following the principals in the system for more than 30 years. I've danced down the garden path and been dragged kicking and screaming as well. In dark circles with violent men I have found light and helped them see it too. Many times I have been the wounded Healer, the Hermit, the Magician and ever the Fool. I'm ready to open my deck to the world. Humbly I ask for knowledge and guidance from those who have walked the path I seek to tread. Richard Odessa

Hi! I’m alyssa, and I’ve been doing tarot since the summer of 2021. I’m still learning, but it has been a great tool, and a great hobby!

Dear friends, After a long hiatus (during which I still lurked about, I must confess) I'm coming home. First AT and now TT&M have been my home for a long, long time. In the last few years, the cards have been in the back burner for reasons too long to explain --let's say depression has been one of them, probably the main one. But, all of a sudden, something in me has decided it is time. A Hispanic charitable organization I'm involved with runs a big Day of the Dead celebration together with Halloween every year, and a sudden impulse made me offer to do Tarot readings to raise donations. So, to my own surprise, I'll have my own tent …

I hope someone read that in Obi-Wan Kenobi's voice. My username actually comes from a time when I was falsely accused of cheating in a video game and got banned for "video game witchcraft." I since decided to reclaim the word, I guess. Just wanted to clarify that rather than accidentally come across as a poseur lol. The reason I joined was to hopefully learn more about tarot... I only have one deck, an anime themed one by Natasha Yglesias. Yeah, I like anime and was introduced to tarot by the Persona games series. Generally speaking, I've always had an openness to "mysticism" or "spirituality" whichever people prefer. Even though I've h…

Hey all, I just signed up so may as well say hi. I browsed Aeclectic regularly, mainly using the site as a deck reference as I began to explore tarot, though I never registered for the forums there. I love semiotics in general, and the history of these cards – Robert Place's The Tarot: History, Symbolism, and Divination was the first book I ever read on tarot, around 2014, I think. Doing backstory homework has been fun, and now I want to shift my focus to really learning the cards themselves and how to read. It's weird sometimes to encounter a person doing readings who knows almost no history (or false history) … and acknowledge I couldn't do a reading, lol. I want to …

Hi Guys I am a new member here just found you guys after a 2 year lull mainly due to the loss of aeclectic tarot site I sort of lost touch with any forum. Now... I've found this place and I have great expectations 🙂 I had many great reading exchanges in there and I'm hoping we can play together in here. Also if any other members from there are in here already who remember me or not please feel free to say hello. So a little introduction from me is in order I feel. I am originally from the Yorkshire Pennines in England but I now reside in China, a little city on the coast called Zhanjiang, which works well as I like nothing …

Some friendly folks have kindly directed me here, to properly introduce myself. Once upon a time I was Fulgour Prentice, which was a poor attempt at an elaborate pun. Fulgour (brilliant) Prentice (student) as in Sophomore, or Wise Fool. Much time has passed since then. I'm 67 years old now, surviving major surgery in 2016 which didn't quite take, so then another in 2017. My father, the greatest influence and truest friend in my life, passed away whilst I was in hospital for that second bit, and when last we spoke, on the phone, we laughed and casually shared each our news, though I was a hundred miles away. His passing was peaceful, and the hospital made it possible for m…

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to Tarot. It all started when my best friend gifted me a Marseilles deck about three years ago. I also own a RWS deck. I mostly read for myself and my best friend, rarely for other friends. I have no experience reading for strangers. I also own two Lenormand decks. I do not own any physical books about Tarot or Lenormand, but I do have some e-books. Honestly I never had the time to thoroughly study any of them - school and work got in the way. My number one source has always been the Aeclectic and I'd like to thank people for their contributions there, they still have an impact on those who are learning. I hope to learn more and …

I've have some experience with tarot and have other spiritual/occult passions. I'm not really sure what to share as I haven't explored the site yet. I'm looking to grow my intuition and cartomancy/divination skills. I'm also interested in learning how to use divination or astrology to solve real-life practical matters... learning horary, health and predictive astrology. There are some missing persons cases I'm concerned about and would like to learn how to find out their situation. I'm interested in whether tarot can be used like some other systems, such as remote viewing, to ask how people will be feeling/what they know to be true about a situat…

Hello! My name is Victor. I work with Tarot 5 years. And a other part of my practice is Kundalini Reiki, Magic and other Energies. Now I would like learn the English language to make the card readings in English. And to understand better the english speaking videos about cards readings etc. Because that is a different view on cards of other peoples in other countries. Hope to enjoy the time here! Thanks for reading! :)

Hello, I just recently started studying the tarot and started with the golden Dawn's opening of the keys and working with Crowley's Thoth deck. I also have a rider-waite, but haven't worked with it much yet. I absolutely love tarot and it's been really helpful to my understanding of spirtuality as a symbolic narrative. By reading tarot we become our own myth-weavers. That was pretty dense for an introduction, but I've always been bad at small talk. I look forward to learning here -MM

Hi everyone! I am sort of new to tarot; I have dabbled with it a tad online, but only with generic automated readings and I haven't fully gotten myself aquainted with all the cards yet. I have experimented with the i-ching more than tarot. I also have studied astrology for several years, incuding horary for divination. I am a woman in my mid 30's, just to clarify, because I realize my alias could sound feminine or masculine, and probably sounds young. I'm really just hoping to stay young at heart. Anyway, I can't wait to learn more about tarot with everyone here. Thank you so much for having me. <3

Hi hi! I am the new gal from Canada. I've been reading Tarot for about 6 weeks now, and I found my way here from a Biddy webinar. Happy to be here and meet people and expand my practice. I love reading Tarot and have really invested myself in learning as much as I can, every day.

Hi guys. No idea how to introduce myself so I thought I'd just give a "time line" of my history with tarot. I have been interested tarot since I was in my early teens and bought my first tarot deck when I was about 13 from my local newsagents at the time (gee that was twenty years ago now!) It was a tarot based on Shakespeare. The newsagents clerk at the time shamed me for buying it "You're too young, you shouldn't be messing with this etc" and I felt really guilted in to not doing anything with it, even though my mum bought the same deck as me. (I was a very consious teen I guess). I didn't feel any connection with the cards, and not being a giant Shakespeare…
