Hello There, I wanted to introduce myself to this lovely community. I have used tarot since the age of 12, so around 16 years. Although only my adult years were spent really studying. My teen years were on-and-off, using the tarot however I wanted and simply being inspired by the images. I am now a full time artist and illustrator, with tarot as part of a daily routine. I love heavily illustrated decks, like the Victorian Fairy Tarot and the Wildwood Tarot, but I do have a special place in my heart for historical and more esoteric decks. I've always found myself very drawn to herbs, trees, and natural themes, so I love to use botanical decks as well. If anyone wants…

Hi! I was interested in Tarot in the late 90s, but in the 2000s I was distracted by other projects. Now my interest has arisen again. This happened, I think, after I published novel "Last Call" by Tim Powers in my country. I have acquired a number of decks and books that have appeared recently. I found interesting and smart blogs, including your forum. I hope I'm not interrupting anyone.

I'm new here.:) I'm not new to the Tarot, not technically. ;) I used to read professionally, about 20 years ago, and had an online Tarot group. Then I went through a bad divorce and life being what it is, I got away from it. Well, I just started getting back into it again and I am really rusty at reading the cards! I feel like a beginner again. I have over thirty decks, but I only read about three. :) My sister went to New Orleans and went crazy buying me decks one year. Now I buy them mostly to collect, or if I want one to try reading with. I'm a photographer, and I love art, and I love Tarot art, so yeah...I collect. :) I also am a writer and poet and an Esp…

Hi everyone, I'm Frater Maitri. Although several different Tarot decks have got to my hands, my favorites are the Thoth Tarot and the Universal Waite Tarot decks. I will be happy to give advice about the tarot to anyone who asks for it and I'm sure my knowledge about it will further increase here on the forum.

I wanted to re-introduce myself. I got rid of my first deck (Thoth) because I could not connect with it. I ended up getting the Classic Tarot and I actually connect with it. I bought a 2023 yearly tarot journal and planner from Etsy. I think it will be a neat way for me to get to know tarot. I’ve had a hell of a year. I met my happiest self, I had everything that I’d ever wanted, but it all got destroyed. Tarot has been a way to help me cope. Are you all ready for the new year?

Hello, everyone! I am grateful to have found this community board. I cannot now for the life of me remember what username I used over at AT, but I was one of the last members to have joined in before it was shut down. I think I was on it only for a few months. But what precious few months those were. I truly deepened my respect for and knowledge of the Tarot during that time. And while I am a member of an active FB group, sometimes the interface of social media allows for too much slick retorts and un-thought-out comments and so helpful points are lost. A community board like this, I feel, is still ideal for Tarot readers to come together as a community. …

Hello! My name's Rivka, and I am a brazilian jewish of mixed origin (ashkenazi /sepharadi). I have been studying tarot for years now - I started when I was about 12 with the Mythic Tarot, when the bookseller woman at my mother's university conviced me to buy it, since I was really into reading about greek myths. I've been reading about Tarot for all of those years (I am 33 now), but just a few months ago I have decided to buy a Marseille deck and start reading it. I am quite interested in the so called historic Tarots, my babies now being the Marseille and a Vieville ones (I have a very cheap cheap and not very nice version of a Marseille deck, and a Vieville reproduc…

Hello. My name is Heather. I was on ATT for years as Faerylvr and somehow missed this entire forum! I have been reading tarot and oracle for myself and others for 40 years now. I do monthly live readings at a local store who hosts me, at the Day of the Dead Festival, through appts, and I do online readings through IG. I am excited to join and participate.

Hi everyone! I am a fairly young tarot reader from Washington, DC. I began reading for fun out of curiosity and I am really enjoying my growth spiritually and my growth as a reader. I have an interest in stones and healing as well but I'm not quite sure where to begin with that. I look forward to making new connections and growing my abilities. PS. I love cats and my little tortoiseshell kitty really loves to read with me aka steal my cards and sleep with them lol. I can't wait to get to know everyone!

Hello, I just stumbled across the forum, and am delighted to find such a thriving community here. I have been reading tarot for many years, mostly with a few Smith-Waite based decks. A few years ago, I got hooked on Tarot de Marseille and became a stalwart fan. In addition to TdM, I am a lover of historic and art tarots. Looking forward to learning from everyone!

Hello everyone I have been actively using the aeclectic forum to deepen my understanding of the cards for many years, drawing inspiration and practical knowledge, and I was able to make one post before it was closed down as a site. Since then I have continued to use it for guidance, and when the thought occured to me only recently that a new forum might have been created, I was delighted to have found tarot tea & me. I am very much looking forward to getting to know the groove of this place 🙂 Kind regards, Andrea (Norway)

Hi Everyone, I am from California and have been reading tarot on and off for about a decade. Until now, I have only really read for myself but now I have the desire to read for others. Hoping that joining a greater tarot community may help me to do that. Looking forward to getting to know you all! Violet

So glad to see everyone, again! Have been gone for a while since aeclectic passed on. I was Debitutchi on there (I misspelled my own screen name back then but it was too much trouble to fix 🤦🏻♂️). I love historical decks. Apparently, I missed out on the best thing ever during my year away: scarlet imprint sola busca. Wow. Teach me to stop paying attention. Anyway, it’s good to be back and hello, again! ❤️

Hi everyone, my name is Tiffany Chantel, and I’m a Sagittarius living in the Los Angeles area. First I gotta say that I’m so happy to have found this forum!! I spent so much time browsing through the old forum (AT), and was so very bummed when I realized it wasn’t active anymore. Finally I found this forum, and I’m so excited! I’ve been intrigued and called to the Tarot (most all things esoteric/mystical) since I was about 10 years old (I’m 41 now)! I bought my first deck (the classic RW) when I was 14, from KayBee toys (anyone remember that store??) in Napa, California, where I grew up. I still have the deck today, and since it was in storage for about 20 yea…

Long story short I lost my account info, can't login to my old account TheTarotRaven. But yeah, I ended up getting a bit disheveled mentally and then more life happened and I've been so out of the loop. Regardless, I'm ready to jump back in and get things restarted and with a renewed vitality! I'm going to jump into a brief af bio, and hopefully breeze through this better than I did previously! 2nd generation tarot reader and i'd like to say I got my gift for r eading and social awkwardness from my father. I don't know who else has read tarot in my family as they are mostly religious beyond belief but I do know he had been reading for over 2 decades and that I am no…

I feel like the new kid in school right now! Everything is new daunting but oh so exciting at the same time!! So here I am. Complete novice with endless curiosity and a desire to learn (from all of you I hope!) I’m not sure what else to say that I haven’t already covered in my bio thingy but I wanted to pop in and say hi, break the ice. I’ll probably be found exploring the wealth of tarot resources and knowledge on this site 🤓 Wishing you all the most beautiful day!

Dear Dwellers of the Tarot Sphere, A fellow dweller here, new to this forum but not to the trade. ..and I do love tea 😉 especially Ti Kuan Yin. Thought I should broaden my horizon more as I have been on another Tarot forum for a while but feel there's reasons to look for other pasteures to graze. I'm a guy from The Netherlands, artist/engineer by trade (I build astronomical clocks), father of three, husband, and avid reader and collector of occult literature. I casually started out using Tarot some years ago but that train has long since derailed being casual.. which it is not anyore. I accidently started reading into such great works by Papus and …

Old friends, you say? Yes, I’m a bit late to the party, but I used to be an active member of the Aeclectic Tarot forum. After it shut down it was just me, tarot, and tea for a while… The offline version, that is. But now I suddenly miss the community aspect of tarot, so here I am! I’ve already seen some familiar names. I’m a beekeeper, plant-lover, herbalist. I share my space (a dreamy house on the Dutch coast) with chickens, a cat and some polyamorous humans. I’m an aspiring pianist (I just learned my first cords), I’d love to hear about your favourite piano songs, classical or otherwise. I love to be creative, in the most broad sense of the word: it …

Hello all, I found a tarot deck in New Orleans about 3 months ago in a little shoppe. I knew nothing about it before then. I have done a daily reading ever since. I am a little tripped out about the quickness in which I have found myself opening my mind. I am currently working with a spiritual advisor that has a PhD in Jungian Psychology. I have been open to the idea of collective unconscious but this is the first time iI have really dived in. A little freaked out tbh. Curious if anyone had any spiritual awakenings like this...
