Greetings and salutations So a little about myself, I'm a new Tarot user(Got my very first Tarot last July my B-Day Month) What brought me here is Youtube, that and my quest to learn more about this Spiritual practice. Since I am new to this I always find it helpful to learn from others who are more experienced. As a Cancer I find using Tarot to be quite natural to me. Nobody else in my direct family practice this, although my mother did say that her Grandmother(my Great Grandmother) may have been a Clairvoyant herself, but due to the times she grew up in didn't talk about it much. Looking forward to meeting new folks! Derek :)

hello ❤️ my name is alice and i am an artist, tarot creator (i am publishing a deck called the tarot of roses), and witch from portland, oregon. i make tattoos, garden, write, and devote myself to ritual and play. i make tattoos about cartomancy under the moniker pip spangles, another name for ornaments i create out of playing card pips. i read daily from the collective tarot, and i use the russian tarot, the rider waite, aquarian, and spanish decks for various purposes. i'm just beginning to learn more about cartomancy using 'standard' or common playing cards. thanks for having me ❤️ you can find my work at alicecarrier.com if you are interested 🙂

Hi everyone, I’m new here, though not new to tarot. I’ve been working with the cards for about 20 years, alongside my background in psychology. My approach has always been less about prediction and more about understanding patterns, symbols, and the dialogue between cards and the person asking. I’m glad to be here and looking forward to exchanging readings and insights with you all.

Hello all. First time looking at Tarot forums, so will spend a while feeling my way... I'm a scientist, naturalist, folk musician, and generally interested in all sorts of things that colleagues would say I shouldn't be! I've had an RW deck for many years, and have done readings for myself and occasionally friends also, but never pushed it very far. Although the readings were often scarily accurate, somehow the deck never seemed to quite connect with me; many of the cards I never really felt that I understood, and I was always looking up the meanings! That changed with finding the deck I was obviously meant to have - the Wildwood. This deck has completely opened my…

Hello, and nice to meet you all! I have used Tarot for a number of years already, but I only now have started to seriously study it. I have a number of books as my starting point. I am interested in the qabalistic background for the tarot. I also have a rather exotic deck in the RWS tradition. I used to own a RWS deck but I left it at my mom's house. I cannot think of anything more to say about me right now, only that this looks like a nice and warm community, and I am grateful that there is an old-school forum for this practice, the adherents of which are scattered making it hard to discuss on the sites I frequent. I look forward to learning from you…

Hello all, I have joined up on the advice of one of your members (I think) who emailed my tarot shop to ask a question. I have often browsed the advice on this forum 🙂 I've been reading tarot for around 30 years now, I also use oracle and sometimes tea leaves, charms etc. Mostly tarot. And I do have an online tarot shop for indie decks which I launched last year. I look forward to joining in the discussions!

Hello all, I'm a type-A writer and classical musician tapping into the emotional and spiritual identity I locked away as a younger woman. I'm a a devotee of Shostakovich, Simone Weil, praxis, and the Weird Studies community. If I'm at my desk, there's a candle burning. Ask my hair how it knows. A few years ago I would have called myself a dilettante in tarot and other occult-facing practices, but I'm in a revolutionary period: reading and learning tarot, alongside meditation, is bringing reflection and focus to my life. I want to deepen this experience and share with others that clarity. Thank you in advance for teaching me. - Finch

Greetings everyone, A bit about my tarot journey: I stepped into the Haunted Bookshop in Arizona, circa 1991. A large and lovely store that managed a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, I simply began to wander and enjoy. Striding past the counter, I noticed a Thoth Tarot deck displayed in a case. On the cover was the Magus, a being levitating with tools of creation floating around him . It was as if nothing else in the room existed. I purchased without hesitation. Discovering the Tarot was akin to finding an old friend that did not need words, a hug or handshake. It ended up being a large, "greenie" version that I still have own. I us…

Hello! I also am here due to the kickstarter campaign. I've been backing Tarot decks through Kickstarter for a long time now, and on one of my regular searches for 'tarot' on kickstarter, I came across this forum. How cool! I like tarot as objects of art, and thus tend to buy decks that look or feel interesting. The other day I got the rest of the Moon Crystal tarot in the mail - I'd backed it originally as a deck of the Major Arcana only, and this delivered the balance of the deck. I still haven't really looked at it yet. I first started collecting after I bought someone's 'New Orleans Tarot' off of them in a Greyhound station that I was walking through. (I…

Hello all. I've been lurking this site for a couple of months now, so I figured I'd stop being a total creep, make an account, and introduce myself. 😁 My name's Sarah and I like reading about my topics of interest (tarot, fortune telling, folk magic, witchcraft, etc.) Hence why I love stalking forums like this and the Aeclectic tarot forum (I hadn't posted on there since 2015, that's how much of a creep I tend to be! Yikes!) I've been using tarot cards as talismans since I was a kid. In my teens I started using the cards to read for myself, my sister, and a couple of my friends using mainly the Thoth tarot and a couple oracle card decks. Anyway, it's nice t…

Hi everyone, I'm kind of newish to tarot though I have had a deck for 20+ years I only recently started reading for myself on a daily basis and hope to try reading for my friends in the near future. I am a stay at home mom of 3, married to a wonderful guy and also part of the closeted lgbt and poly community and I would consider myself a non-practicing pagan though it's something I have had more interest in over the last few weeks. I have many hobbies including cosplay and sewing, reading, genealogy, tattooing (hopefully a future career/ and NO I don't tattoo people yet), drawing, puzzles an a bunch of other introvert style hobbies. I also do kempo karate and have an…

Hey everyone, I'm Lindsay. 🙂 I'm a long-time tarot enthusiast, was once part of the ATF community (mostly as a lurker and learner) and have been looking for a replacement "home" for ATF. I'm primarily a Marseilles and historical deck lover now - my favorite decks that I own are the Conver Marseilles and Visconti-Sforza. I am looking to do another deep-dive into the RWS; I've never been able to connect with RWS imagery before, but there is no time like the present for another try! Anyway... Enough about me, haha. Really glad to be here and be posting.

As a student and reader of the Tarot I have lived my life following the principals in the system for more than 30 years. I've danced down the garden path and been dragged kicking and screaming as well. In dark circles with violent men I have found light and helped them see it too. Many times I have been the wounded Healer, the Hermit, the Magician and ever the Fool. I'm ready to open my deck to the world. Humbly I ask for knowledge and guidance from those who have walked the path I seek to tread. Richard Odessa

Hello, everyone! I am new here and very happy to be here :) I am delving into this wonderful world of tarot and I love it more and more every day ♥ I've been gifted a deck by my aunt who is a professional tarot reader and now I'm working my way to learning about them. I heard in a podcast that there are sites where you can give free written or email tarot readings, would anyone know where I can do that? It would be GREAT practice, because Not everyone around me wants tarot readings and I really want to progress. I feel that typing out the response to people's questions would be a fantastic way for me to get more experience and confidence. Thanks!! ♥♥

Hello, hello! My name is Aria and as you may have seen else-thread, I got drawn into this forum because I went digging through about 12 Google search pages on the Fantastic Menagerie tarot and it eventually -- after translating a surprising number of pages from German, Japanese, and Czech (really, Google??) -- brought me here. I'm 35, a Taurus, and bought my first deck when I was 15 because I really liked the art. I now have a rather large pile of them because I really like the art, and don't use them as often or as consistently as I should. I want to change that.

Hello 🙂 I am glad to be here! I have been on the search for a tarot community online and had been lucky enough to come across this community here. It has such a beautiful outline and I am already loving the atmosphere here ♥️ Now, I have recently begun to study the art of divination (three months ago) and have been practicing for two months. I have been inspired to study tarot so that I can see if I could do it and I could do it. I didn’t need to solely be psychic to be able to read tarot and have accuracy in it. However, I have noticed that it has help to build a relationship to my intuition but I rely on what I have learned to do the interpretation 😄 Anyways, I am glad …

Hello all, pleasure to be here. I'm ThreeCircleTarot and I'm looking to gain more of an online presence--it would be nice to meet some new people and make connections. Lately I've been putting my pictures and words online, feel free to check them out in my signature. A little bit about me: I'm studying to be a counselor or psychologist. I'm spending the summer co-facilitating group counseling, crisis line counseling, and doing qualitative research at my local university. My focus is on supporting women who have had or are experiencing sexual violence. It's my passion! My other passion is tarot. I love looking at the cards for guidance and perspective. I've spent the…

I'm very excited about interacting with other members of the tarot community. I've been doing readings for a year now and honestly love what I do. I joined this forum to gain more knowledge and insight into the practice as well as helping others new readers develop their skills.
