I'm going through the deck, comparing the cards to the RW. Mostly all the cards in the Volatile decks are traditional to the RW. But 8 of Wands , and the alternative card isn't. Volatile has the 8 of wands with an eulye ball in the clouds with 8 wands coming out idle the clouds, down to the ground. I suppose the RW is the same after writing this out. Pointed down. But the alternative Volatile 8 of wands has the more Magdeline look, with a crown of thorns and 8 wands appears growing out if the head. I don't get it because it doesn't fix the traditionally meaning for the 8 of wands; haste, speed, action, gaining momentum. I guess thorns growin…

I'm reading the classic book "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and I found some very interesting links and insights with the 7 of swords (RWS), mainly to its favorable and positive aspect. This is a translated and commented excerpt from the book in Portuguese: Chapter 1, topic 15: "(...) The art of war is based on dissimulation". Editor's comment: 1) "Sun Tzu refers to cunning maneuvers and artifices to deceive the opponent with the use of astuteness, craftness, ruse, guile, trickery and slyness. In a battle, to cover up one's true intentions, it is often necessary to resort to disguises and ingenuity. History records countless cases of ruses and stratagems ap…

I've only been doing daily readings for, maybe, a week and I am left shaking my head, astonished at what a powerful tool this is for self awareness. I have been doing three card spreads, the first being myself, the second, the situation, and the third, the best course of action. I have quickly seen that I must always make any interpretation of the individual cards come from the Question and the real life circumstances. Yesterday, I drew the Hermit reversed on a day and to a question that both revolved around what I should do now as I was feeling grounded, sure of myself after a long period of doubt. When I saw the Hermit upside down I immediately thought, 'It's time to co…

Hello! 🙂 Yesterday, reflecting on advice related to Page of Swords, I realized how similar it is to the legend of the young King Arthur. When looking for images, it is impossible not to notice several similarities with the image of this card in the best-known tarot representations. This makes me wonder about the qualities of this Page. Representing advantages, this card can indicates intelligence, willingness to learn, communicability and creativity of ideas. Valor, bravery, idealism. Even if he has no experience, the valet's enthusiasm often makes up for this disadvantage. It has valuable information to resolve their issues, and that they should use i…

Asking question, will this event ever happen again, the first card was Death card, and then next cards were some positive cards such as Hierophant, Hermit, and some court cards. What could it mean or imply when Death card appears as the first card in the reading? Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks.

I've been thinking about this card recently and really see them as building a Pentagram or Pentacle these days. In some decks, it's more visible than others, this is RWS and it's even more obvious in Wiccan / Pagan style decks. A Pentagram has the five elements on the points, Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. This looks like they are making an upright symbol, maybe to bring balance in all areas, rather than the conflict of the card? Or maybe it represents a Pentacle, that could represent manifestation and a tangible result? Turning scattered into structure. It's a grounding symbol. It's funny how you still see new things…

I’ve been spending time with the Empress lately, and I’m realizing she behaves very differently depending on the context. Sometimes she feels nurturing. Sometimes she feels like growth or expansion. Sometimes she feels like boundaries. Sometimes she feels like “take care of yourself first.” And sometimes she feels like something else entirely. I’m curious how other readers experience her. When the Empress appears in your readings, what does she usually point to for you? Is she a person? An energy? A situation? A reminder? Something emotional? I’m not looking for textbo…
