TarotKen Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 (edited) I have gotten a new indigo deck. However, there are few cards which get particularly greener than others on the backside. I find it "disturbing" when pulling the card, because I may recognize the particular few cards. I worry if it will influence my pulling of the cards and readings. Should I buy a new deck do you think? Thank you. Edited October 15, 2020 by TarotKen
stephanelli Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 @TarotKenFFromrom the pictures, it wouldn't be enough to worry me personally. I find that when I'm shuffling I don't really look that hard at the cards and can zone out any irregularities. If it's possibly a printing error you could contact the seller about it. (I'm not sure what an indigo deck is without looking up). (PS. You'll find out easier to add pictures to the forum when you have 5 or more posts!)
gregory Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 It wouldn't bother me enough to have me return it, I have to say.T be honest I can't see the variations without making an effort ! @stephanelli It looks like Virtue's Indigo Angel Oracle from the backs.
stephanelli Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Thanks Gregory! It is a very pretty back. I like the swirly scribble design in the middle! I also had the thought, Ken, that perhaps it is supposed to be like that? I have a deck that has a back that seems gently varied from card to card (The Good Tarot by Colette Baron Reid).

It sounds like you fan the deck out on the table and choose cards? Then look straight ahead when you pull them, not down at the cards. Do it by touch. Or you could simply shuffle, cut, and draw off the top. That way it's not an issue.
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 (edited) The Druidcraft Tarot, which has been reprinted many many times is famous for this. I love the deck, so have learned to do as Katrina recommends. I'm a fan and draw at random deck user also. That said, unless you set out to memorize what backs go with what fronts, it really doesn't matter, you won't know what you are drawing anyway. And if you are that kind of user (casinos would label it card counting) all your decks will eventually have tells. What will you do then? edited to add: Welcome to the forum!!! Visit and post often, we love new members and new outlooks. Edited October 15, 2020 by AJ-ish/Sharyn
TarotKen Posted October 16, 2020 Author Posted October 16, 2020 Thanks for all the replies! I am from Asia and got it from a trustworthy seller online. It isn't likely to be a pirated version. I've asked someone who got this deck also, and she said hers isn't like it. It isn't able to change a new one once the plastic package is ripped off. This deck is useful for drawing daily guidance. I probably would buy a new one instead......
