It took me nearly 60 years to discover the Tarot, but I did and here I am!

Hello everyone,

If you told me 10 years ago that I'd eventually become interested in the Tarot, I'd have laughed. And laughed long and hard. I was not only a skeptic, but a proud one. But life has a funny way of humbling us, of redirecting us. Alas.

Long story short, about 6 months ago, after much "humbling" and "redirecting," I found myself casually checking out Tarot decks on Amazon. Not sure why and I didn't think much of it. But then I did it again. And again. Finally, about 2 months ago, curiosity got the better of me and I ordered a Rider Waite deck. When I first opened it, I didn't know what to make of it. Now, I'm fascinated by it.

My interest at this point is just in using the Tarot for personal and spiritual growth, but who knows where all this might lead me? I've been going this journey alone so far and have learned a lot from books, videos and by lurking on this forum. But I think there are some things you can only learn through interaction with others, so here I am.

I hope to learn a lot and maybe even contribute a thing or two along the way!

New members often pose thoughts old members haven't considered, Welcome Home. Post often, that is the strength of forums, the conversations.

I am so glad you found your way first to the tarot and then this forum.   Some of the best readers I know are both intuitive -and- pragmatic.  🙂

Welcome to the forum, Tarot as a funny way of entering your life when you least expect it. 🙂

Welcome, @TarotldMan! I "played" with the tarot in junior high school and found it pointless. 50 years later, I'm fascinated by it and finding it a powerful tool.
