I always suggest one card at the END of the day, and see how it fits what already happened to you. It makes it easy to match events with the card; when it feels right, then start doing it at the start of the day.

And I swear by Barbara Moore's books.

I started this thread and hope that we can help create a very useful list together

I am going to suggest a resource that is entirely free and that I feel is a very good starting point:

This is where I learned the and I still refer to Bunning's keywords as a starting point.  Where my learning took off was here at Tarot Tea & Me.  Of course we all develop our Tarot philosophy and style as we grow, so in that sense doing what works best for ourselves makes sense.  But what we do still must comply with the basic techniques and meanings of Tarot reading or we can't responsibly call it Tarot.

I agree. There is definitely a basic tarot language. And while we often develop an accent over the years, what we say will still make sense to other readers.

I agree that there are certain terms all tarot readers I know, well, know.  Even if we read differently, see cards differently, even have some different meanings for certain cards, we GET what the other is talking about.  It's funny because I was thinking the other day how I know if someone is actually a reader or are a total poser.  At least these are red flags.  If you're talking to someone who tells you they're an experienced reader and doesn't get even basic terms, doesn't know the suits at all, when you say majors they think of the military, you can be pretty sure they either have no clue or just recently picked up their first deck!
