RavenOfSummer Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 Just wondering if anyone has used this book and how did you find it if so? I saw it come up for sale at a good price and was curious.
GreenFaerie Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I really like it! I haven't made my way through the whole thing yet, but there are lots of exercises to help you work through and think about the court cards, and Greer has many insightful things to say about the various cards and suits. I only own three or four Tarot books besides the books that come with my decks, and this book is one of them. :)

I'm interested in different perspectives on court cards. Maybe I should check this book out :)
Page of Ghosts Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I have this book but I've barely begun reading it so I haven't had the chance to form many thoughts about it. It seems it has interesting excercises and I might wanna actually do them.. I'm usually not very good at doing all the excercises and prefer to just read the book, but to understand the courts better some work is probably required.
gregory Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I have it and have dipped but not read straight through. What I did read was interesting. I have yet to find a book by Mary Greer that wasn't useful.
Trogon Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Very glad you asked about this Raven! I have Ms. Greer's Reversals book and love it. I think I'm going to have to watch for this.
Page of Ghosts Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 Ok so I bothered with one fairly small and simply excersise in the first few pages of the book - take out all your court cards from your preferred deck and find the one(s) that are most like yourself. Take out those you think are too old, too young, wrong haircolour, to passive, too active etc. and you should be left with some court cards that somewhat resemble yourself. I knew I liked the Queens and Pages but I didn't know I liked them so much that my top 4 are two Queens (Swords and Wands) and two Pages (Cups and Wands). There should probably be a Pentacle court in there somewhere... I can be a bit materialistic to be honest. Maybe a poorly expressed King?
