Hi,

I just received my new deck: Llewellyn Classic Tarot mini. Unfortunately there was no book with it. I don think it matters though but I would like to know if there is a particular book that goes with this deck? Or otherwise a book someone can advice me to get?

There is a very good book by Barbara Moore that comes with the full sized set.

Sadly I can't find it for sale on its own.

it is basically a RWS deck so any of the general RWS books would work. That said, like Gregory, I like having the companion book to a deck if I can get it, you could try the contact link at Llewellyn and see if they have any of the books in stock somewhere?

If you are in the US, phone is best, email response is sporadic.

The other alternative - as it is RWS - would be one of Barbara's generic RWS books - as she wrote the one for the deck..

Thanks for the reply. I live in The Netherlands so my options to get something in the US are limited as I don use a creditcard or paypal.  I had a closer look at a book I bought but did not look at as I wanted to wait till I got my deck. The book is Kitchen Table Tarot by Melissa Cynova and that fits perfectly with the deck. I will have a look at Barbara Moore though.

I really like this book and its my #1 suggestion to people based on my own bias towards the author's style and tone combined with her knowledge and wisdom.   Reading it first, then moving on to those links suggested by Greggory and you should be set!  Don't be shy about posting thoughts, opinions, questions here at the forum either 🙂

I have a few other books but Kitchen Table has become my favorite book already.
