I'm Grizabella from AT. It's so good to see so many other people have joined here. I look forward to settling in and visiting here a lot.

It's been a scramble since we learned AT is closing. There have been so many other places offered for us to join and I'm modding a couple of the forums in their Exchange sections. i've also started some Facebook groups. I've just been trying to help where I can and also deal with the shock of AT so suddenly closing. I'm hoping things will settle down again soon.

Hi Grizabella and welcome! It's so great to see you here. So far, Tarot, Tea, and Me is the best of them, in my opinion. It's been great that so many people have stepped up and created sites for us but this one feels really welcoming. Anyway! I'm really looking forward to your posts here!

I am by NO MEANS new to Tarot and other divination methods, nor new to this forum. I joined when AT first folded and I really like this forum, but for many years now, Fate has seen fit to take me many places, through many moves and many experiences.

I am by NO MEANS new to Tarot and other divination methods, nor new to this forum. I joined when AT first folded and I really like this forum, but for many years now, Fate has seen fit to take me many places, through many moves and many experiences. Each time I've moved, I've said "I'm never moving again." Well, I'm tired of eating those words so I'm not saying them anymore. I HOPE I don't , but who knows?

This time I'm living in a beautiful place right smack in the midst of a national forest near Westfir and Oakridge, Oregon. It is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful here. I got a big whirlwind of a surprise in August when my family decided to make it possible for me to live here. My grandson bought a little mobile home park and I was given a large fifth wheel to live in. I'll probably be here till my last days on earth provided I don't have some kind of catastrophic thing happen that requires me to move to some kind of care facility, and I surely hope that doesn't happen.

The move was a bit complicated. First I moved to my youngest son's place in Pleasant Hill and lived in a smaller fifth wheel that he had while I waited for the larger one to become available. Actually, the big one was being stored because there wasn't a space open here at the time that was the right size. Then, a space did open after a couple of months, but it wasn't large enough, so they just brought my small one here to the smaller space to wait for the bigger one. I must say, just hooking a truck onto my home and dragging it somewhere else is a lot better than packing tons of boxes in and out of places. I could really get used to this. (I hope I don't have to, though)

Because this place is popular, friendly and beautiful, and because the highway to it here in the mountains is often treacherous with snow and ice in winter, there was a real desire on the part of my family to get this bigger final home in place so it wouldn't need to be done if the weather gets bad, so my grandson researched whether he could add some spaces to what's already here. He found out he could, so he re-opened a space that hadn't been used for awhile and put my cozy little abode into it and then my sons moved my things out of the littler fifth wheel into this one. Currently, I'm putting away the last of my things and, hopefully, I can just settle down for good. Every morning I get up and look out my windows on the most beautiful scenery. I'm still in awe in some ways. My oldest son is the manager and maintenance person here, so he and his wife check on me to be sure I'm okay and don't need anything every day.

There are a few little quirks to living in a fifth wheel or other RV but this one is by far superior to the old Winnebago I lived in for awhile. My family has made sure this one is in tip top shape and very safe and water-tight and all that.

Soooo---there's the latest chapter in the saga of old Grizabella who will "never move again." I left Washington in August and now, toward the end of October, the journey ends here. We'll see what happens next. Right now I'm continuing to paint, bead, and I'm dusting off my cards. You'll see me first in the exchanges but then when I've settled in a little better I'll request a reading sub-forum and make some sort of website. I'm not good at making websites, so that part I'm not anxious to do. My current love is Kipper and Lenormand as far as card reading goes, but I'm still getting the hang of Lenormand.

Something important is afoot for me here. I can just tell. First of all, my grandson and my oldest son went to an estate sale right before they brought me here and bought a huge amount of leather that had belonged to a man who made costumes for movies and theater.  And then right after that, my oldest son went to the St. Vincent's store in Oakridge and found a HUGE amount of the seed beads for $30! For others who might use seed beads, you'll know it's a lot when I say it's several full kilos of seed beads. MANY! More beads than I could possibly ever use probably.

So for anyone wondering where I went, here I am!

Is that okay, HOLMES? I'm not really experienced with this forum yet. If need be, feel free to remove the first, shorter post. I don't know how I managed to mess that up, but I'd rather the longer version just get posted all in one place.

I merged the two topics for you  :)

Hello and welcome back, Grizzabella!  :)

Thank you, Oumee and Night Shade. I'm very glad to be here and I really look forward to being more active since I'm finally settled down in one spot again for the foreseeable future. I've missed all my AT friends and I've missed that forum a lot but this one promises to be a warm and loving place, too.
