Hey everyone, back with my other one! I had this one up at AT, not super popular there but hopefully I'm working out the bugs. It was the Ancient Celtic Tarot but I dunno, just didn't sit right, since of course they had no Tarot images per se. But a Tarot comprised of images based on relics, that I can get behind, and I am! So the originals of the cards were rough pen & ink drawings combined with some computer graphic stuff. I've been spending the day with the printer trying to fix the resolution problem I discovered so far in. I had  been taking the images and hand-drawing the entire thing in pencil and then re-scanning at 300 dpi, but that is TONS of work and may not be an improvement on the originals anyway. So without further ado, here is the first card! Printed it has a sort of watercolor effect; we also don't have the world's greatest printer and it could be that better equipment would improve things. Also, the card back:

Looking at that I think I need to redo the II which isn't quite centered but I was getting impatient!

OK centered, and it's been printed out on good paper!

Needs to be smaller overall, also less border. WIP!

Uh-oh! I just found out that the vast majority of my images are the redos in pencil! So that one gave an idea of the overall layout, however this title card I did is closer to how the images will appear: pencil, NOT ink.

And yes, VAST improvement!

I have an alternate style card, I had a lot actually completed. I'll post this one and hope for some feedback...? Which border/card back works best, the soft one or the bright one?

How could I have put a 1 on the Fool??!! Quick correction coming up!

OK here's my solution, no 0's in that font so totally traditional, unnumbered. Plus the alternate version of the card, plus alternate card back.

The title card with border. I'll go ahead and post all finished cards.

And finally Warrior of Vessels.

OK that's my ream of finished cards. I can switch them over but I'm kind of liking them as they are. So just more drawing. I had more done that I haven't scanned yet, have more to pick up at my other place. More up soon!

I love the shading and the colour work. The Sun looks psychedelic almost, it's so vibrant. Temperance is gorgeous. Interesting use of symbols too, I feel like they draw me in. 🙂

Thank you so very much for the positive feedback! I have an improvement (hopefully!). This is the 5 of Coins, I've faded the border, this particular image needed a little clarifying (a bit of a soft image) and the printout on good photo paper looked promising so I'm encouraged. I'll be reframing the rest. Then I have to get back up to my place so I can do more drawings! I know I have The Chieftainess (Empress) and Cernunnos (The Devil) ready to go. More soon!

I have writing for both of my decks that I'm having trouble locating (my computer expert sister has to delve into my old hard drive) but I'm going to keep looking, if I don't find my original writing it'll make for more work, haha!

Oh and I have to locate my fonts too, not so easy!

Yayyyyy found the font, it's called Celtic Gaelighe which should be easy to remember. I'll reframe the cards I have over the next few days. Going back to my place soon and I'll pick up the drawings and pencils etc. Need a break right now!
