Hi Guys,

Thanks for letting me into your space here.  I've been interested in tarot for a few years because I enjoy it as part of a wider perspective to life, but I'm not an expert and haven't even reached beginner level.  If Tarot was Karate and I was Daniel Larusso then I wouldn't have met Mr. Myagi yet, though I know he exists.  Sorry, that was poor analogy.  That film is terrible in so many ways.  I'll be here mostly as an observer, and have been reading some of your articles and discussions.  I like the depth and range of meanings you manage to include and have all kinds of beginner questions that I hope won't make you want to close the forum.  I live in the Southern hemisphere, so time zones might create gaps.  Just now I was reading an old thread and someone was talking about how they were a night/cold/winter person.  I am a similar type, which often frustrates me since we have an awful lot of sunlight and heat.

Hope you're all doing as well as you can, given the covid situation.

p.s. if you're curious, I used what was jumping around my deck at the moment I was asked to choose a login name - a sparrow - it's nothing more complicated than that.

Also I'll add that as a default deck, you can assume I'm referring to RWS 1909.  I don't know why, but it seemed like some sort of arbitrary datum might be useful.

I've spend a few hours in the shadows reading threads on various things today and you'll all be pleased to know some of my beginner questions are being answered without me having to bother any of you with a new thread.  Also, I've felt motivated to revisit the ideas I turned up here with, that perhaps a more experienced eye would see as needing attention.  It must be the something in the aptmosphere of this place.
