I am doing some renovations and had to clear my attic of all my sentimental items (not of any monetary value to anyone) that I have accumulated over years. I have to get rid of all items from attic as this space is now going to be used for something else. As I was going through all boxes to see what I still would like to keep I was going through a box and at the bottom I saw a picture. As I picked I found it to be a tarot card. With not much light it looked like devil and really freaked me out, but on closer look it was a Count  from vampire tarot that is Equivalent to Emperor ). I am still shocked as I have no clue how it ended up there. All my decks are kept in a different room in a drawer. I am pretty sure that finding this card has significance and is trying to tell me something. I am going to discuss the significance in reading forum in coming days:

I have been trying different methods to connect with Tarot including meditation, dream interpretation, connecting with my spirits/guides etc. but this has scared me as no-one except for me goes to attic and no-one touches my tarot decks.

Has anyone else come across such a scenario?

Its a very interesting occurrence! Seems significant. I've had some eerie Tarot happenings but usually spread involved (one that always sticks in my mind is when i was first getting into cards i was drawing from an oracle deck and drew a card that didn't seem like it could be significant to me at all. Being a newbie, I put it back in the deck and reshuffled -quite a lot- and repulled and... it was the same card. Felt like the deck was really on my case, like "i KNOW what i said! dont doubt me next time!" Also just weird moments of premonition on what will br pulled for especially significant spreads, dreams involving cards, and other vague anomalies) but beyond spreads... i dont think ive had too many physical anomalies such as this before.

I'm sure you're quite capable of anyzing this situation on your own, but from an outsider's perspective it's very interesting that it was the Emperor up there. I feel like in regards to possessions the Emperor is kinda utilitarian. Making active choices of what to invest in and what to hold onto, what's worth owning and what's worth leaving behind. A card stable in itself and unafraid of loss because he's confident in how the kingdom is constructed. Or something like that. Thats what your story made me think about. I don't see it as a dark omen, although as I said, that's just outsider perspective. You know best for sure and i would not want to speak over your own experience and opinion!

Thanks, Prince of Cups for replying, I like how you interpreted on making choice of what is worth holding on to and what to let go. I still have no explanation how it got there as this is my least used deck (used three times since last June- as this deck seems a bit intimidating to me to read and understand). I counted all the cards last evening to ensure I don't have any other cards missing and now they are 78 including emperor. I have 3 other decks that I use frequently and I counted those as well to ensure, I don't have any missing cards. I am going to post my interpretation in readings forum Please stop by and let me know what you think, I am a newbie and may be totally off.

Im glad my interpretation helped @Rswords! (Sorry for the late reply, im here and there online these days. And BIG no problem for the username confusion!)

As a pagan and magick practicer, something unexplainable like this involving the Tarot seems significant but not uncanny! I can imagine it be a little spooky or offputting for some but when I hear a story like this I get very excited! It's my belief that the cards can act as a tool for the universe's guidance and something like this seems like a LOUD message, it feels like almost assurance in this time, but your readings will definitely tell you more than I could know!
