Hi everyone - it’s really good to be here.

 

I love tarot and have been ‘dabbling’ for a few years now (due to having a busy hectic life have never been able to devote enough time to learning properly) but since we have been in lockdown I have had some time on my hands and I have been able to really get back into it. I am not experienced in the slightest but am really willing to learn 🙂 

I don’t know anyone who is interested or knowledgable in tarot so am hoping to be able to make some friends on here and ask for some cheeky advice when I need it. 
 

At the moment I am learning by reading for myself every day with a daily spread and also reading the ‘jumpers’ that show themselves to me when I am shuffling. 
I am fascinated by the cards and am really looking forward to expanding my knowledge and working on my intuition skills.

I have a Rider Waite deck and two Marseille decks. I bought one of the Marseille years ago, but I can’t for the life of me remember where the other one came from! It’s still a mystery to me so I am taking it as a sign that it is meant to be. While learning I am using the Rider Waite as I find the images help me remember the meanings of the cards. I also love crystals and have a varied collection so I am hoping to use them together with the cards when I get better.

There are many various degrees of education,experience, school of thoughts. 

So it is tarot books, and those who teach tarot courses. 

 

All that said.. you are in luck for there is more Marseilles tarot book in english. 

Possibly you tube on that( i know lots on lenormand) . 

 

There is a journel forum where you can start your own journal on thoughts. 

Or there is the daily draws thread where you can start your own thread on that. 

 Course got your own personal readings forum.

And a reading exchange, or circle depending on what you crave. 

Easy to check out and read other styles.

Thank you so much for the welcome everyone 😊. And thanks for the advice Holmes - very useful. I love the Marseille cards but find them tricky at the moment. 
 

I have a question about some ‘jumpers’ I had in a recent 5 card intentions spread. (With the RWT)

 

I am aware that there are rules on where to post these things.

 

I really feel there is a significant message these cards were trying to tell me but have no idea how to interpret them as a combination. 
 

has anyone got any advice on where to post my question? I had the Fool, Death and The Lovers all jump out together while I was shuffling. (Or advice on the combination itself)

Hi @Lucyblue, a very warm welcome to you! Sounds like you’re on a very exciting journey with the cards so far. 
 

Once you have made five posts you’ll be able to access the parts of the forum where you can ask for further insight from others - we do ask you to have a go at interpreting them yourself first, and sharing that with us, so that we can best help each other. All the main sections of the forum have guidelines pinned at the top of them, so have a wee read through. Don’t worry though, if something does end up in the wrong place, one of the mod team will move it where it needs to go.
