Darla007 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 When I started receiving the completed bond with tarot, it came by form of a feather. I had been cross watching readings to verify my own understanding. Then I saw a reading being performed and her feather kept taking my attention (it seemed perfectly framed in her camera view). I was sitting on my porch during this particular reading. And as I thought to myself, why a feather and why THAT exact one. As the thought breeched, I looked at my flower bed and saw this perfectly upright feather that seemingly propped itself for my eyes to take in. It blended with it's surroundings yet stuck out like a sore thumb. The same occurrence happened after receiving my second deck (except I was sitting in my flower bed on my sun spot clearing my cards and thanking spirit for the bond) , same type of feather roughly 2ft from where I saw the first (about 2 months apart from each other). My decks are 2 different sizes. Feather #1 is the exact size (diagonal corner to corner) and feather #2 fit deck #2 in the very same way. (I don't know why typing this is making my eyes well up but I feel like I should mention it)... After staring at my 2 decks with their paired feathers, I instantaneously knew something else was meant to complete each set. Almost a year to the day, prior to my second feather, I was taken to a crystal show. I left with 2 crystals that felt like they found me though I was never interested in crystals for my personal keeping. Never took them out, just kept them in their little cloth bags in my top dresser drawer. The way it all came together still puts me in "awe".. Does the community here rely on the connection personal items bring to your readings?
Raggydoll Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 I think it’s quite common for people to pair decks with crystals and talismans etc, and it’s also common for people to have ritual objects on the reading table. I have never been one to pair decks with objects but I did use to set up my reading place with items that held personal meaning. I tend to not do that anymore, mostly out of practicality (I have young kids and limited time) but also because I have paired down my use of ritual/power items. I think it has a lot to do with different seasons in life. I have gone through many phases over the years! (I had to think and count, and I believe it’s now 26 years since I begun reading cards. I started very young, but still - time flies! 😆)
TheFeeLion Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 @Darla007 I'll sometimes pull out crystals for a specific reading but I don't have set crystals for each deck. Usually I'll just peruse my crystal collection and see what draws me for that reading. Quite often those crystals can add an extra layer of meaning. Sometimes, if I feel like I need a little extra boost, I'll choose ones that I need (like for grounding or intuition etc). It's sounds like you've had a pretty fantastic experience with your decks and feathers! Maybe it's to encourage you to let your intuition take flight 🤔

As a Leo, I get such a playful connection with the birds. After the second feather was found, my first bird feeder was placed in my yard and the delight in watching them is lovely. I feel like they bring the connection down from the skies. I can get close enough now to feel like I'm playing my paws around them gently, leaving fun piles of food randomly under the feeder. Every time I watch one leave, it's like I know it's taking my thoughts I had while watching it back up to the sky. I'm very happy they are with me.

I'm a big time procrastinator so it seemed rather appropriate naming myself after a faerie that gives you a poke to get things done 😂 apparently he becomes the Free Lion when all our tasks are done 😁
