It adds to he socially awkward feelings to explain that I don’t like the stuff. Even in public places free coffee will often be offered as a service like hospitals, funerals, the auto repair shop. Sometimes I feel left out. Oh I see, it is coffee or nothing, not anything else like tea or water.... 39 minutes ago, Mesha said: I don’t really take much effort to hide it. I’m getting to old to pretend. I just don’t shove my beliefs into folks faces like the previously mentioned door knockers. I did find that a vine pentacle wreath hanging on the door tends to keep those door knockers away. The kids and their friends made some and one ended up hanging on the door. I was kinda surprised Hubby let it stay because he worries since about 10/15 years ago the little new age store around the corner got burned down. They didn’t even have anything more witchy then a few decks of Tarot cards. Rumor was it was a bunch of kids but who knows- this town has a reputation. I think things have mellowed around here a lot since the government forced integration in the housing project. My Midwest raised brain just will never understand why folks can’t just mind their own teakettle. It’s not hard to love your neighbor or ignore him. Holy smokes, burning down a place just because? However I assume some people are really scared to death of anything they find is witchy, therefore evil and has to be removed no matter how and what. Even to this day and age.... guess people have not evolved but are rather better in covering it all up....
