Although I liked the White Fly a lot (which was nice, because I have little memory of why I ordered it, haha)  I will be moving on this week to the Tarot de El Dios de Los Tres.

I love circular decks, @Amberjune, even though I currently do not own one!  (I have been hoping to maybe get the Archetypes deck by Kim Krans and change that...)

@Bodhiseed, I JUST pulled out my own Dark Goddess Tarot deck this week.  It's been a long time since I visited it 🙂  But that deck is way too intense for me to use for a full week, lol.  For me, it is a special occasion, once-in-a-while reading type of deck.

I am in with the Spiritsong Tarot this week. 🙂

Yes, I love them, too. Just finished my work with the Daughters of the Moon (round deck). They are very big and I cannot hand shuffle them, but I do enjoy them a lot . Same for the Motherpeace. I don't have the Archetype one, still getting acquainted with Kim Krans' work. I never feel drawn to the Wild Unknown, though it reads well for me....

Tabula Mundi for me, thanks VG

This week I'll be using the Dark Goddess Tarot, created by Ellen Lorenzi-Prince and published by Arnell's Art (now available from  Schiffer Publishing). The oracle I'll be using this week is the Tattwa Cards, based on the teachings of John Mumford. Today's draws are the Lovers and Air > Seed of Ether:

Immature love says: 'I love you because I need you.'
Mature love says 'I need you because I love you.'
―Erich Fromm

Freya, Norse goddess of love and beauty (as well as chief of the Valkyries), had an abiding love for her husband. When Odr mysteriously disappeared, she searched all over the world for him. At the end of the world and the end of time, she finally finds that he has been transformed into a sea monster. Even this does not change how she feels about her beloved. The companion book suggests that when we meet a challenging situation, we choose a spiritual response - giving more love and creating more beauty. In the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., "We must discover the power of love, the power, the redemptive power of love. And when we discover that we will be able to make of this old world a new world." King's statement reflects the keyword for Air: Seed of Ether - transformation. In order to do this, we need to drop the distractions of what is irrelevant and choose to see beyond our labels and opinions. We then can begin with a fresh perspective.

If your mind is empty, it is always ready for anything, it is open to everything. In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's mind there are few. ―Shunryu Suzuki

Dang, did I pay you for this reading, Bodhiseed? It hits me where it hurts, in the best way. Thank you for your card insights as always. ❤️

I have discovered so far that although the Spiritsong Tarot is among my favorite tarot decks, I still have so much to learn about it. And when I use it for large spreads in particular, the depth of each individual card becomes apparent. Animal decks can be so expansive in this way—and educational when accompanied by deeper internet research 💡

I still think this deck is very friendly though, and I even like the keywords 🙂

Sorry for the hurt :animated-smileys-hug-002:but I'm glad you found some insights. ❤️

I don't mind keywords when they are more open-ended rather than narrowly defining. 🙂

I am just realizing, that my post for this week did not "take" Probably an internet glitch - of which we have many up here....

Anyway, I was using the Sacred Sites Tarot......

I will probably use it for 1 card draws in this coming week, together with the Herbal Tarot.

@vulprix seeing your spread, I am still quite tempted to get the Spirit Song Tarot, for my collection of Animal themed decks..... ♥

I totally recommend it. I have too many animal decks 🙈 Just ordered another one earlier this month (the Brady Tarot), which I have had on my mind for years and finally felt good about committing to. The artwork alone is too stunning to ignore, and I felt that its depiction of the brutality of nature is not seen enough in animal decks.

What makes the Spiritsong Tarot special for me is the breadth of the depictions—Australian animals, African animals, North American animals, a fair amount of insects in the mix—and the beauty of the suggested landscapes for the animals. Looking into Paulina’s watercolor swirls is like scrying 🔮
