A few are very stereotypical. Most just - aren't. You like some responses you got here but not all. That's fair enough - par for the course. I can't see any particular bravery about it all - your posts or anyone else's.
vulprix Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 @Emporerinthestreets, there are also decks that have different structures and court systems to rebut the typical Page/Knight/Queen/King archetypes. The best example I can think of is the Numinous Tarot, which is out of print. All figures in this deck are designated with they/them pronouns, and the court system is completely revamped and agender. There is the Mystic, the Explorer, etc. Maybe someone can help out in suggesting other in-print decks that fit this need and reimagine the King/Queen etc. archetypes. I will be thinking on it today!

Oh thank you! I’ll check them out. It’s not so much an issue that theyre gendered it’s more like the fact that a lot of the distinctions between the king and queen of cups are based on typical gender stereotypes and I find it limiting and I’m searching for something beyond that. These decks sound awesome though!

But it's never wise to say "everyone" .It is inevitably wrong, unless you just say something like "everyone has to breathe.". I’m good but thank you for the suggestion.
