Lux Ex again for me, as it was a busy bee week with not much tarot and a whole lot of business that felt like....drama....so, I'm going to try again.

My rule is at LEAST 4 days worth of readings before I move on.  Things should be calm for the next 4 weeks, after that my library is re-opening and that might get....interesting.

Wishing you calm waters, VG!

I'll be working with the Hilda Tarot and the Magickal Herb Oracle.

Happy Eclipse!

I'm in with the Gill Tarot paired with The Circle (oracle).

Sending some thoughts for a week without drama to you VG!

Thank you VGimlet 🙂 I am not done with the Brady Tarot yet!

I will be using the Hanson Roberts Tarot for travel, as well.

I will continue with the Guardians of Wisdom deck for another week.

The Brady Tarot is still hitting hard. I haven’t felt so connected to a deck in a very long time. Today, my draw is 10 of Horns (Cups)—Overflowing, and 3 of Arrows (Swords)—Mourning.

Today was an overflowing day indeed, and I visited my sister and her family—always absolutely overflowing with energy. I usually find myself exhausted after being with them, but they always have so much love for each other and are so full of joy and life. What I love about Rachel Pollack’s guidebook for this deck is that she emphasizes the miracle of nourishment and connection. Where does it spring from? It’s just there. Bask in it. This helps me feel a bit alive, even if exhausted—in a good way 🙂

Whereas the 3 of Swords really is my internal world, mourning. Couldn’t have said it better. I was with my partner for almost a decade. That’s over now and the “new normal” is very surreal. I find myself having to soak in the reality of it to try and make sure that everything makes sense. And other birds, others in my life, are fluttering around, bearing a bit of witness.

What is so interesting about these two cards in particular can be seen in the picture I took of them today. Yes, the cards both depict (different species of) blue birds, but the color choice is so nuanced in each. The shades, the tones in the 3 of Arrows give the card a whole different color and vibe from the buoyant and fantastic 10 of Horns.

This week I'll be using the Gill Tarot, created by Elizabeth Gill and published by U.S. Games. The oracle deck I'll be using with it is The Circle, created by D.R. Taylor and published by Versation Publishing. Today's draws are the Eight of Discs and Mystery:

The world, even the smallest parts of it, is filled with things you don't know.
― Sherman Alexie

A metalworker, so in the flow of his work that he resembles the element he creates with, designs a huge figure of the number eight. The companion book describes this card as the application of concepts. The two circles that make up the number nicely symbolize the way mental skill rests on physical skill. Yet the Mystery card suggests delighting in - rather than being frustrated by - the unknown in the creative process. A teacher once gave me some great advice: "Be willing not to be an expert." Curiosity keeps the doors of the mind open to learning, producing more skills and knowledge rather than complacency and stagnation. That mindset can be much more exciting than being an expert.

The possession of knowledge does not kill the sense of wonder and mystery. There is always more mystery. ― Anais Nin

❤️ @vulprix ❤️

"Grief is a form of love, how we go on loving in the absence of the beloved. It is the transformation of love through loss, and how we are initiated into a new world. Like all initiations, it begins with a purification.
You’re not meant to cure the grief buddha, nor it you. You’re meant to find out what it is to be part of a season of your heart–mind, a season in the world, that has been stained and dyed by grief, made holy by grief."
—Joan Sutherland

Hang in there - the season will change.

Thank you, @Bodhiseed 🌟 Joan Sutherland's words are fitting accompaniment.

Today's draw is really continuing in the current theme--6 of Horns, Happiness and 8 of Horns, Departure.  I have to share pictures again because the otters are so dang cute, and I also love every card which depicts a black night sky like in the 8.

I love how the colors in each card echoes the other's so well!

Can I join in? I am using the Chrysalis tarot this week as I have had it for a long time but haven’t used it much. I find with this deck I have to read it quite intuitively…almost as a tarot/oracle combo. It fits loosely within tarot structure for me but also seems to have its own system?

Welcome, @Krislynner! We don't really have any rules here; this is just a friendly place to rotate through all our decks, using some that have collected dust. 😄
