Post count is actually nothing to do with reading ability, it's misleading. I wasn't even aware that we had badges until I got a notification just now. They don't seem to be functioning correctly anyway. My old ones say "Earned just now" or "Earned 9 hours ago" and it says I'm a "Newbie."

I really don't like the idea that none of us are even listed as "proficient" until we've made thousands of posts. A lot of us were proficient long before we came here. Those of us who are used to forums know titles like that are hooey, but what if you do paid readings and a potential client who doesn't know that sees "Rookie" or "Apprentice" on your profile? "Mentor" could cause a lot of unwanted confusion too. Not everyone who is up to X number of posts will have the time or inclination to take on a protege. And "Grand Master" just reminds me of Flash. 🤣 It really needs to be made clear that these are about post count and don't reflect the accuracy of anyones' readings.

It doesn't show on threads except I can see a waving hand in the avatars. and the balloon with numbers beside it. Does that mean Katrinka has made 3800 posts? I've always thought post count was silly. There is quality and there is quantity. Up to the reader to decide.
