Housewives Tarot for me with Fierce Women playing cards as an oracle deck.

I’m going to do this - I need to go through all my decks and let go of some. I have too many and it’s time. This will help me decide what decks I’m keeping and what need to move along. I’m starting with a deck I know I love so I’m clear on what I’m looking for.  : )

I did a large spread for reflection with my Tarot Apokalypsis. It gave some pretty interesting insights and judgments 🙂 I liked using it for this large spread! The images are vibrant, but in my opinion, not too cluttered. They have great contrast and balance.

Sorry for the photo; my lighting is poor and it is nighttime. 🙂 next photo I take of this deck will use daylight.

This week I'll be using the Roots of Asia Tarot, created by Amnart Klanprachar with Thaworn Boonyawan and published by AGM Müller. I'll also be using the Mah Jongg Oracle, created by Derek Walters and published by Thunder Bay Press. Today's cards are the Three of Swords and Carp:

three%2Bswords.jpgcarp_0002.jpg

Where there was once a head and trunk, now there is only a pierced heart in this painting. When we have been betrayed or hurt, our world can begin to rotate around our pain. The booklet suggests this card is about coping with sorrow caused by the loss of something in which we were emotionally invested. We desperately crave for things to be different, to go back to the way they were when we were happy. But the more we funnel our thoughts in this direction, the worse it gets. It's as if we accidentally step on broken glass in bare feet, then continue walking back and forth across the sharp pieces. The Carp symbolizes inner calm and contentment, a time when troubles might not be over, but we have come to terms with the situation. How do we move from a place of suffering to acceptance? As Bodhipaksa writes, we focus on self-care rather than the mental story we've constructed about the situation.

Once we’ve practiced by turning toward our pain and offering it care, we often find that things shift radically. The sacred pause of mindful compassion becomes a conduit for wisdom and other inner resources that we sometimes aren’t aware we had.
—Bodhipaksa

Reading with Housewives Tarot and Tough Women playing cards (I got the name wrong in the original post.) Blunt and sassy, as always, while telling me exactly what I need to hear. : )

Such varied decks this week! 😄

I am glad you like the look of the Apokalypsis, @Pretzel. I used a Celtic Cross spread today to examine my relationship with creating (visual) art. Always welcome to see Ten of Swords in the final position, I tell you whut 🤪

I took a picture of it in outdoor daylight lighting. There is a bit of a glossy sheen on the cards (though they are not thick and plasticky by any means), so I did have to catch them at a bit of an angle on my deck.

lol I know what you mean about that 10 of swords in the outcome - looks like he's rising like a phoenix through the ashes though (I'm trying here!)
Looks amazing though, thanks again

Hi!  It's been a long time since I did this but I really want to work through some decks.

This week I will work with the Dark Goddess Tarot.

Welcome back, @ballerina! The Dark Goddess is a favorite of mine for personal readings.

I second the welcome back, ballerina!

I am enjoying the Broken Mirror tarot - a very pretty deck.   Readable too.

Many thanks!  It's been good to use the Dark Goddesses this week.  I'm was only aware of about 3/4s of them.
