HOLMES Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 I brought a card shuffler 6 decks deep. I figure my hanson roberts deck would fit into it.. But no of all my decks only my piatnik lenormand fit ( i imagine my easy lenormand would fit too ) But no tarot. I brought it due to not being to riffle.. oh i tried.so figure reading in a public i would shuffle the decks before hand. Then just move them with my left hand as i usually do. So any decks i buy for this would be for reading so not worried about the finish of the decks. not sure though which size to rely on to get the standard playing card size. I am worried i will read the size wrong . So can you explain the difference? Hoping someone knows. Just want to make sure i order the right one off amazon.
legendaryelement Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 There are 20 sizes listed here: https://www.makeplayingcards.com/printed-card-types.aspx Hope that helps with reading through descriptions of the card shuffling machines you are researching ...
DanielJUK Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 The card shuffler is probably made for playing Poker and Bridge games and poker size cards are that small size that many Lenormand decks are, Bridge are 10% smaller.

I already brought it. I did research on the shuffler on you tube . One man was very helpful as he repaired them. I didn't measure my hanson i just figure it be small enough. So was disappointed it didn't fit. So i have to get some decks i was looking at the mini witches again. For example Then i saw the bridge, mini, etc. Apolgies for not being clearer about purchasing the shuffler already. ( surpised us games didn't or llewylyn didn't make one for tarot cards)

In that case, why not just have the sitter shuffle?
HOLMES Posted July 27, 2021 Author Posted July 27, 2021 I started off like that, I find it could take a while, i used to have them fan out the cards and pick them even. I found it was time consuming, and i would interest , enthusiasm. Which is why i started to shuffle to get the energy moving faster.. especially when reading live at the event. At home it wouldn't matter much.
euripides Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 Do you need to shuffle one-handed? I'm wondering whether some sort of card-holder would help for the larger cards. Like a toast rack or a filing-card holder with fixed upright dividers; drop a few cards in each section, then pick them up in random order. At any rate, I would suggest not worrying too much if shuffling takes a little while; think about something to talk about to fill this space - inviting them to talk about themselves and their query - or if they're reticent, telling a little story about the origin of tarot, or about why you like the deck you're shuffling, or something.... The Amazon pages should have the specific dimensions of decks listed in the product information. I'd be looking for that, rather than just 'mini' or 'poker' in case there is variation.
