I am interested in seeing how others are doing with their work with the 2nd edition of Benebell’s deck?  It seems even with a 3rd edition upcoming to be released, interest perhaps waned?
I look forward to responses!

It's certainly not getting the buzz it used to get. It's not one I use, but I remember people mentioning it often.
Not so much now.

I admit to really enjoying the 2nd version and yes ordering the 3rd.  Benebell put a huge amount of work into these, the books and all the free info she has created is both amazing and daunting in scope. I also admit her work and studies into the occult arts is light years over my head, I practice a more “country” version of the Arts. I do find working with the deck a rare experience, it is unique and has a depth of voice and scope that today’s new decks just don’t have. She has put together quite a body of work!

I am glad to hear this about the 3rd Edition 🙂 I am glad to hear your praises for it. It is pricey, but that comes with the territory outside major publishers.

I have thought about her decks in the past but they had all sold out—and it’s not like I don’t have enough tarot decks to keep me busy! But I bet her work is very special.

How readily usable do you find it? Do the accompanying materials note Golden Dawn correspondences or is her system pretty different?

She has a free download of her medium white book , I might suggest reading that to get a flavor for her system of reading cards, the Book of Maps, if you do get into her work, is a Tome unto itself !   It is recognizable from a RWS and Thoth standpoint as she did incorporate those into the first 2 editions. I will say I think in the long run I will enjoy the 2nd edition more then the first but that might be due to my preference to hand drawn versus digital art.

I’m still using the 1st edition. I’ve got the Vitruvian but prefer the 1st. I worked with it pretty intensively and couldn’t really connect with the changes in the Vitruvian.
The latest incarnation did not appeal to me at all so I gave it a miss.

I've preordered the Revelation version, mostly out of curiosity, but also because Benebell seems like such a nice person.

I am looking forward to hearing how others work with their SKT decks. I think part of the issue with people losing interest is that it can be a bit of a tough go at first if you use her system. It is Holy Guardian Angel based, which throws many as they think it to be an “angel” deck and get put off with that and it’s “new age” connotations. I found it very helpful for spirit guide work and working(s) with spirits. I admit I also ordered the third out of a sense of supporting a talented and very very giving person who I think is light years ahead of me in her arcane studies.

I still prefer the First Edition to the Vitruvian.  I have played with the idea of selling the Vitruvian, now that the 3rd is coming.  I feel like it will be a better expansion on what I loved about the First Edition than the Vitruvian was.

I like the second edition over the first, and didn't order the 3rd, I think I'm over buying decks. I already have the best of the best 🙂

I have to admit I love the Vitruvian edition but knowing how fast they sell I had to order this 3rd edition just in case. I agree on not buying a lot of decks. I have winnowed my tarot deck collection down to what I use often and one for sentimental reasons, 10 soon to be 11 with this 3rd edition on the way. My old decks went to friends as gifts so they all have good homes.

I'm planning to finally do the 22 Weeks, starting either this Monday or next, with the 1st ed.

I *think* the new Rev. ed. recently arrived for people, so if anyone else is interested that would be great too. More enjoyable when sharing it with others.
