I'm going through a difficult time, can anyone recommend an oracle deck for me?

I went through a difficult time about 10 years ago. I eventually found an angel card reader and I found peace in the reading. I was interested in going back about a year later but I decided to use the money to buy my own deck of angel oracle cards.  I really enjoyed them and I think they helped me. 

 

 

I'm going through a very difficult time right now. Its different difficulties to what I experienced a decade ago. I will give a brief description of each:

 

- the biggest difficulty is a high conflict person that was in my life.  She left my life about 5 or 6 years ago. We haven't shared a physical space since then.  She's not a happy person and she's not happy with me.  I experienced years of harassment from her. The revelent authorities haven't helped me when I needed help.  The abuser and harasser is still highly powered and geared towards revenge to me and my family. Its very hard. I was handily it reasonably well for years but recent communications from her is beginning to break me down. 

 

- another difficulty I have is my work. It can get very intense. I think I am interested in changing directions. 

 

- I have financial worries. I work hard and I wish I could see more of a return for the hard work I put in.  

 

That's the main issues in my life right now. 

 

I am wondering if there's any oracle deck that will help steer me or give me guidance. 

 

Also is there anything else I can consider like crystals that could help me with like protection from evils, enrich my life, etc. 

 

I will be most interested in a deck of cards that will come with a book and description and writing about the cards.

If it is an option, nothing beats the right therapist. I understand that not everyone has the ability, financial or otherwise, to seek such services, but the right, qualified, certified help can help set you free. (Speaking from experience.)

 

As far as oracle decks, I can heartily recommend the Animal Spirit oracle by Kim Krans.

 

If you like angel cards, there are plenty of varieties out there by Radleigh Valentine and others, but I personally cannot advocate for them. I will say I have Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine’s Angel Tarot and it is quite gentle with awesome artwork, but you asked for oracle decks.

 

Alana Fairchild’s Mother Mary Oracle is pretty wonderful if you like Mother Mary. I love the Magdalene Oracle by Toni Carmine Salerno, which is a bit more abstract and less overtly affirmative.

 

Lastly, I wear jewelry every day as “protection.” (Thanks, OCD. 😛 ) I like protective motifs like eye amulets and such, but you should find a symbol that works for you and helps you feel supported. I did get a bracelet with angel wings from one of my best friends and it really does help me remember not only divine help, but also my friend’s love when I wear it. If you bought yourself such an item, it would be a nice act of self-love 🙂

 

Just remember that true protection is sought through actions and not necessarily objects. I hope something I have said may have helped!

It can be difficult to recommend a deck without knowing what art/aesthetic styles appeal to you (or repel you). One of the ways I like to find decks is to search videos (youtube, etc) that show an unboxing or a complete walkthrough/flip through. Are you drawn to any themes other than angels? Like animals or gemstones/crystals?

I love animals and I get on well with a lot of animals. 

I love flowers and floral designs. 

I love the ocean, sunrise, sunset

I live bright colours

I sympathize what you are going through.  I'm guessing that your original deck of angel oracle cards are missing or just don't feel right any more?  There are a lot more angel oracles in print now and compared to tarot, many are really affordable on Amazon.  It sounds like you do need someone to talk to about all of this, not simply reading for yourself.  If a therapist or reader is out of your budget, it might be a combination of getting an oracle deck, doing some prayer and soul searching and then talking to a trusted friend or family member about all of it.

just remember whatever difficulties you are dealing IS test to make you stronger & better person You Are Strong Enough to Endure same way you did so far!:)

& ask yourself what chance im not seeing? for example you can create your own Angel deck or write a book?:)

I’m not really into Angels Oracle decks so I can’t recommend one, but there is a large choice I think.

Maybe to wear a stone around your neck could be an appropriate addition? There are some with protective qualities.

I couldn’t agree more with this! I too have experienced it. 
Most importantly a lot of employers have an EAP (employee assistance )program that’s not affiliated with the job. It’s often posted somewhere around the job as a 1-800 number you can call into. They help with all kinds of situations to connect you with needed help. One of the things they offer is counseling services and usually will provide a number of paid for sessions with a local therapist.  
 
On to decks- I found the Love Your Inner Goddess Oracle to be helpful during my time of trial. 

As for crystals- Rose Quartz or other pink stones may be helpful for you such as Rhodochrosite or pink opal.  

Lepidolite may be a helpful one for you as well as Malachite. Most really good New Age crystal shops will have someone who can help you select something that will be perfect for you. Most likely though when you walk into one you’ll be drawn to just what you need.

Thank you so much for all of the replies.   

 

I went into the nearby city and I went into the holistic shop that was open.   I usually do all my shopping online but I found a deck of cards that was recommended here.  It's Angel prayers by Kyle Gray.  

 

I unboxed it last night. I began to work with them giving myself a reading.  I was amazed at the outcome and it really resonated with me.  While I was shuffling them I began talking about the troubles I'm facing today.  While I was shuffling the deck a card popped out followed by two more cards while I was shuffling them.  I placed them all to the side.  I then picked two cards. The cards and their meanings really resonated with me.  In particular the first card that came out it reminded me to take a step back when I'm feeling angry and mediate and call on your angels.  I'm going through a lot right now and it really helped to remind me to focus and be kind to myself. The other cards had some powerful messages for me too.   I was very happy with the first reading I gave myself.  

 

I don't work with these cards in a professional manner. It's all just a hobby for me.  I don't know how much a professional reading will cost but I would like to eliminate a cost like that.  Now I have my own deck of cards and I can work with them every day.  I hope to expand and add to the deck of cards.

I'd like to say that I agree with this recommendation. I used the Magdalene Oracle when I started my first job, it was a very turbulent period and some people there just didn't like me because of preconceived ideas they had about me (they changed their minds later)... I remember coming home crying nearly every evening. The Magdalene Oracle was a great comfort for me! It's a gentle deck, that doesn't keep shoving positive 'coach-like' affirmations down your throat. Personally I can't stand toxic positivity and excessive motivational stuff.

This is probably the best Angel deck out there, and yes, it comes with a book. And the art is old masterpiece paintings, not new age sexy angels with bubbles of colored light.
It won't tell you what's going to happen but it does help. I keep it handy for distraught clients to pull a card after the "regular" reading. It helps.

LOL, in a way. But it's a way of showing the perfection of the angels. Not an Instagram kind of sexy. 
I'll bet good money there's an angel deck out there someplace now with Kardashian type surgical slim thicc angels. And if there's not, there will be. 😩 Also very swole, "Bro do you even lift?" musclehead angels.
All of this even though angels are supposed to be pretty androgynous, except Seraphim and Thrones, which are kind of beyond gender. Even the Angel Blessings deck left those out. 😁
