New to here and to Tarot.

Hi, I'm a 47 year old newbie! Married (just clocked 25 years!), mum and living in Suffolk.

I have always harboured the desire to learn Tarot, but never acted on it until I lost my baby sister this year. Her loss has inspired me to live my life to the fullest, and that includes embracing my interests and things that feel right for me. I currently only read for myself as I'm still so new to it. I'm going with the flow and seeing where it all takes me, which is exciting and scary at the same time. I know I have so much to learn, so brace yourselves for lots of questions!

I'm looking forward to meeting new people on this adventure too. ❤

Welcome @AmethystMoon.  Like you, I'm also a newbie to the forum, and already feel this is a very good place to be.

I am so sorry you've lost your sister (I have a baby sister myself, whom it would really hurt me to lose, even thought we live in different countries now) but you have certainly taken steps to make her loss 'mean' something.  Is your interest in tarot spurred by a desire to feel you are communicating with her? or just a desire to make more of your own life as it is now?

Either way, I'm glad to 'meet' you here, and hope we'll both enjoy participating and learning as we navigate the forum and get to know its members.

Thank you, and welcome to you too.

My interest in the Tarot has been with me for as long as I can remember. I think I just kind of sat on it, squashed it, for so many years because I placed too much importance on opinions of others. Losing my sister (she was 46 and had she suffered for years due to illness) made me realise just how short our time here is and how important it is to be true to us. She was always herself, she never paid attention to what others thought of her,  she was always authentic. So that is what has inspired me to finally begin my journey...being true to myself and living my life. I haven't purposely thought about connecting with my sister, or sought her out in a reading. I'm pretty sure that, if she wants to be heard, she'll make her presence known! For now, I'm learning and letting it guide me to where I'm meant to be. ❤
