Hello

My name is Selena, and I am thrilled to join the Tea, Tarot & Me community. I'm currently living in the UK.

I first developed an interest in fortune-telling and divination in the late 1980s.  Since that time, I have read both professionally and for friends and acquaintances.  I enjoy both Tarot and the Lenormand Oracle.

Outside of divination I am interested in herbalism, folk lore and I’m a socialist.

I look forward to talking and learning with you.

Welcome! Lovely to meet you!

Whenever I hear that someone’s been reading cards that long, I have to ask - what deck(s) did you start out with? And do you still use any of those decks? 😀

Thank you, Raggydoll.

For a long time I used the Prediction Tarot and do sometimes still use it. Due to its style, I felt closer to Tarots such as the Insight Institute, Marseille and 1JJ.   After some big changes, I am enjoying using the RWS, Morgan-Greer and Hanson-Roberts.

Thank you.

I have read with the Prediction tarot and know what you mean. I like it’s calming art style (for lack of better description!). I too have begun using my RWS again after having it sitting in a drawer for a long time. For a long time it was my favorite but then I acquired many other decks in a short period and it got neglected. As I’ve downsized and simplified my collection, it stands out again as one of my all time favorite decks. It’s interesting how we go through phases with our decks. I think I haven’t reflected enough on how those phases correlate with my life in general though! Lots to be learned there!

If someone hold told me several years ago I doubt I would have given it much credence. But as I changed so did how I saw myself in and working with the tarot.
