Hi!  My name’s Jamie, like the screen name implies.  I am a Christian and years ago was very conservative and narrow.  As I grew and evolved, I began to question my conservative slants.  So people who go through this phase quits Christianity all together, but I don’t like to throw out the good with the bad.  So no, I’m not here to preach on how Tarot reading is wrong.  Quite the contrary.  I’ve found that Tarot is another means besides the Scripture that God can speak tangibly to me.

As I was walking through TJ Maxx, I was drawn to a Tarot deck.  It was the Good Tarot.  I read on the back of the box about the deck and absolutely loved the idea behind it.  I purchased it and a book on traditional Tarot.  I’ve done my own readings for a few weeks now.

I’ve had one dealing in Tarot before, about 15 years ago.  The lady used a regular deck of playing cards and she used it to tell the future.  She was wrong on the surface about a lot of the things she predicted. Because I believe the future is in flux, I don’t ask my deck anything that pertains to the future.  I use it to guide my day to day decisions.

I love it!  I want to learn more.  My husband is not really into that kinda thing, he doesn’t get excited about it like I do.   He doesn’t forbid it, and is glad it is helping me, he just doesn’t have feedback.  I need feedback, I need a friend to share these things with.

So that’s why I’m here.  Looking forward to discussions, insights and stuff!

Welcome to the forum @jamie65672 🙂:animated-smileys-signs-085:

Wow you have been on quite the spiritual journey and glad you have found what works for you now with your tarot. There are other members who are strongly religious and incorporate tarot as part of their lives and spirituality. I've not seen them around recently but they come and go around here. I hope you get a lot out of the community and it helps with your tarot usage 🥰

Welcome to the forum!  Your journey has many similarities with my own, except I did end up 'quitting' Christianity because it just wasn't working for me.

Anyway - what I actually wanted to say was that The Good Tarot was my very first tarot deck.  It's such a beautiful and gentle deck, isn't it!?

I primarily use it for more Spiritual readings or whenever I need it's gentle guidance as supposed to sometimes harsh guidance of other decks 😆

I hope you enjoy the forum!

Hello and welcome @jamie65672 :animated-smileys-signs-085:

People use cards for divination or guidance in various ways and with different spiritual backgrounds (or none).

Good journey with cards!

Welcome @jamie65672

I think it is a very mature approach not to see things black or white but wanting to keep what´s good for you in Christianity instead.

The older I get the more I seem to think along those same lines and I try to see the good in a variety of things.

Great to have you here 🥰
