vulprix Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Gonna go ahead and use the Marshmallow Marseille Tarot this week!
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 (edited) Whata mix this week! Magical Dogs for me VG, thank you. edited to add: I'd like to see us all in a room working on the same question 🙂 Edited December 4, 2021 by AJ-ish/Sharyn
Mi-Shell Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Ok, I will use the Shining Tribe Tarot - by Rachel Pollack. I do have this deck - since a decade probably... I just do not like her primitive drawings and hesitate to call it artwork.... But the book that goes with it and her ideas are very good and is well worth reading.

Amberjune Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Late to the party...this week just flew by for me.....whelp! The Numinous Tarot and the Wicca Oracle cards for me. @vulprix hope, the bunny is still doing ok I had a King phase in my teenage years, these days I read mostly 'literary fiction' and a lot of memoirs. Always wanted to read The Stand and don't remember if I have read it or not.
toj Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 I just picked up the Macabre Tarot on Saturday and will be working with that. Two people that work in the store were planning on getting it until they saw the demo deck. All the backs are the same but there are black cards and white cards. Booklet does not seem very deep overall but says in the intro if you are expecting love and light, this is not it. The court cards are renamed: page = terror; knight = nightmare; queen = haunting and king = massacre. This is a shadow work deck. The box is shaped like a coffin and it creaks when you open it which is kind of cool but annoying after the first few times. Cards are a good size for me, which make it a lot easier to physically work with. I haven’t been here the last few weeks mostly due to health problems and an accident where half my face was swollen up. Time to do some shadow work.
Bodhiseed Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 (edited) @toj I hope you're feeling better! @AJ-ish/Sharyn maybe we could do that virtually! Decided to switch out the Celtic Lenormand with the Tapestry Oracle. Edited December 5, 2021 by Bodhiseed
Bodhiseed Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 This week I'll be using the Light Seer's Tarot, created by Chris-Anne Donnelly and published by Hay House. The other deck I'll be drawing from is the Tapestry Oracle, created and self-published by Kendall Eifler. Today's draws are the King of Cups and Source: Have you ever been around someone who seems to have a tranquil influence no matter who or what they're dealing with? The King of Cups has that kind of composure and aura about him. Like the vibrating singing bowl he uses, his calmness can bring the agitated frequency of another in resonance with his own. Yet his emotional intelligence isn't just a part of his personality; he's had to develop it. He knows he must first regulate his own emotional state to be able to work with what's shown up on his doorstep. The Source card shows a figure rooted into the ground. Whether it's cognitive behavioral therapy, a spiritual practice or the use of creativity to channel our feelings, we all need a method that can center us when life is spinning like a dust devil. Once our nervous system dilutes and dissolves our stress hormones, our rational brain can come back online and help us deal competently with reality.

My bunny is doing much better, but she does have a recheck on Tuesday because she has a leg wound that is likely infected... but her behavior and happiness level are just about up to snuff 🙂 I LOVE the Numinous Tarot! (And... I hate The Stand 🙈 I'm sorry, but that one really is my least favorite King, lol. Way too bloated, and the apocalyptic thing is tired nowadays. I know I am in the minority, and that is okay! I am glad others like it!)
Mi-Shell Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 OK! I admit 😞 I flunked - with the Shining Tribe 😞 I just could not hack the "artwork" if one can describe it as such 😞 And the book - Well, it probably was a great read ~~10 years ago, But now - I am stumbling over all the many different cultural "attributes" - bits and pieces that are supposed to be on the cards... It is such a mish-mash and these days I am quite sensitive to that kind of thing....... This is the third time I am putting this deck away, sadly shaking my head.
