This information would help me so much

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

Something is happening within my oracle readings that I don’t understand and I hope someone could tell me.

When I mix the oracle cards from Angel answers deck to ask yes or no question or time framed question I feel like I always get the wrong answer.

I’ve tested it by asking it the question that I know and it still gives me “wrong answer”.
And then when I mix them again, put them on a table and choose one, that answer resonates with me. But it is a totally different message.
why is that happening?

Excuse me if I didn’t post it to the right topic.

Wow 🙂 I am not even going to bother with this energy.

good day.

It's not "energy", it's simple rules and manners.
While it isn't a hard and fast rule that you introduce yourself, it IS strongly recommended:
https://www.thetarotforum.com/rules/

When you have a minimum of five posts, you can post your readings here: layout and deck(s) used, specific cards drawn, and your own interpretation, and people will help you with it. Be sure to provide feedback.

You get back what you put in here.

@Wildcard Please don’t take out your frustrations on other members. I understand why you feel that way but it’s not okay to be that harsh. Just report it and we moderators will inform them of the rules!

@Oriana Welcome to the forum. It would be very helpful if you started by reading the rules

https://www.thetarotforum.com/rules/

If you want answers about specific readings or advice regarding your personal circumstances, you need to meet our requirements and post in the Your Readings section. You’ll need 5 posts first and you will have to get specific about what deck and spread you used, and you’ll have to provide your own interpretations for every card you are asking about. We have lots of experienced members that can help you, they just want to see some effort on behalf of those who ask for help 🙂 I am sorry you were met with such frustration in this thread. It’s not personal, it’s because we’ve had a lot of newcomers lately who’ve failed to read the rules. So that was taken out on you, unfortunately. I hope you decide to stay and post an introduction so we can get to know you and greet you properly!

Talking about your problem generally @Oriana yes or no questions can give you inaccurate answers with any deck used. The cards have meanings and a title and when you do a yes or no question you are trying to squeeze them into two outcomes.

Try questions or readings which open up the outcomes. For example questions like....

- what do I need to know about.....?

- how can I?

- Tell me about....

Go specific in what you are asking the Angel Card but one ended, this gives me such better readings! More accurate and gives you better outcomes.

I am sorry you have had a bad start to the forum, hope you will stick around 😀

I've moved this thread to the main oracle discussion area as it's currently a general discussion on yes or no questions with oracle decks

In my experience, too, if you try to test the cards by sort of second guessing them, they will give you nonsense answers. Don't do that - it's disrespectful to your cards,.

You are saying you get the wrong answers. Leaving aside the ones that you are trying to test the deck with - how do you know that answers are wrong ? Maybe they are just answers you didn't want to hear. It happens to us all.

I do quite well with yes or no questions, but I have no idea how an oracle deck could possibly answer that. You need a balance of positive and negative cards in your deck. Most oracles are designed with few or no negatives. I've actually seen this used as a selling point: "No bad cards!" printed on the box. They're basically for affirmations.

welcome Oriana, I decided many years ago yes/no questions weren't much help because we already know the answer, we are just looking for affirmation, and using oracle or tarot cards for it was pointless for me. A Magic Eight Ball is a great tool if you want to continue with that kind of divination. I asked the magic 8 ball "should I post this answer?" and got hummmm. YES.

https://eightball.tridelphia.net/

as a side note, I've probably used a 100 different forums over the years and never introduced myself. I get to know people through their actual posts and hope they do the same from mine.

For yes/no, I toss a coin. Multiple cards will NEVER work for yes/no ones.

This angel answers actually have a yes or no answers. There are one with time frames too.

I’ve seriously put nothing but curiosity in here. Yes, maybe it’s a little bad from me that I didn’t first read the rules but I’ve kind of rushed in to get te answers quickly

I am truly sorry for violating the rules.

Interesting. If it supplies yes/no timing answers why do you think the cards are wrong? I'm not familiar with those cards, do they actually say Yes/No and weeks or months?  When you get a few more posts do a reading and post it in the my readings section with a photo/scan of the cards you pulled, and your exact question.

(give feedback please to those that help) and it helps get different perspectives. Again, welcome to the forum!

???
I don't already know whether we'll have any snow here this winter, whether my political party will do well in the midterms, or any number of other things. If I did, I would have no need to use cards.

IME, binary systems like a coin toss tend to have lousy accuracy rates. I actually have good results with multiple cards.
The thing is that the yes or no will be hard or soft. To use a simple example:

YYY - hard yes
YYN - soft yes
YNN - soft no
NNN - hard no

So a hard yes is simply "Yes!", but a soft yes is a qualified yes, like a "Yes, but..." More details can be extracted from the spread.

But other than Tarot Majors, which I've never used for this, I use decks of at least 32 cards with positive, neutral, and negative cards. I've never done it with any kind of angel cards.

I did an image search on Angel Answers and doing it that way wouldn't work with those:

Other than the No cards, it looks like there aren't really any negative ones. So how many Yes and No cards are there? Just those four?

I had a roommate - this was in the late 80's - and she had this deck that she didn't really hit it off with, but she liked using four cards out of the deck. It was fairy tale-type art with dragons and men in tights, IIRC, and the cards she used were titled Yes, No, Now and Never. (I always forget the name of the deck, but gregory probably remembers.) With just the four cards, the accuracy rate wasn't anything to write home about. It was more something she did for fun, some of the questions and results were pretty funny. 😁

Yes or No just works better with a full pack for some reason, and you can do it with playing cards:
