Giana222 Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 What are some cards for you that typically signal upcoming communication (can be any type, such as text, call, etc.) I’ve seen the knights, magician, maybe even pages? I’ve also seen the ace of wands or swords but am curious to see what others think?
BlueMoth Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 Personally, I think it is three of pentacles, six of cups, eight of wands, knight of swords and the Chariot. If you look at the imagery in three of pentacles, you see three very different people standing together - they each have different skills but they are willing to collaborate and communicate together to reach a better goal. If I get this card in a relationship reading, it generally means your partner is a good team player supporting your goals, or if you broke up, he is going to come back and speak to you again. Six of cups means in general familiarity and great memories. If you have not been speaking to this person for a while, six of cups means you will get back to speaking terms and normal communication (might even be friendship!) but not romantic pursuits. Eight of wands means rapid movement initiated by a person - which means this person will be speaking or taking action very soon (like in 10 days or so). Knight of swords also means taking action but this is more to do with fighting and protecting beliefs. If you get this, the communication is coming soon but it may feel more like a negotiation than an actual friendly conversation. Finally, major arcana - the Chariot, basically an image of a person riding a moving vehicle. Fast movement initiated by a person, this can mean communication or the other person making a significant move. Hopefully this helps!
RunningWild Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 I would think that most of the wands suit could be used for our modern types of communication (phone, texts, emails). Delivery of any kind of message, I would assign to the knights, the speed of which would be determined by the suit of the knight that showed up. Pages might carry a message of some sort. The Ace of Swords might be the initiation of a verbal communication. Just some ideas.

Raggydoll Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Like Stephanelli, I also think of the air suit and especially the ace and the courts as communication. But also the magician, the 8 of wands, or perhaps the Lovers. It depends on the type of communication and the speed at which it takes place. For example, 2 of cups could be a slower and more intimate type of communication and Justice could indicate faster, firmer communication that revolves around final decisions. So there are many possibilities!
