Just a bit of a grieving session for those of us who have lost tarot decks, however it happened! Have any of you lost tarot decks before?

Years ago, a small bag of mine was stolen and it had my premier edition of the Deviant Moon Tarot in it! So naughty! Thank goodness it is mass market and popular enough that I got a borderless edition to replace it… but I do miss the old one, as it was hand-trimmed. Not an easy trim, either!

Recently I lost my mini ISIS Tarot de Marseille. Such a bummer!! I am still hopeful that this deck will meet me again!

Feel free to vent here. Especially about little mini decks, which really seem so easy to lose…

I lost my Sakki-Sakki deck with the English box while making an inventory of my decks.  I had it, saw it and when I went to put it away it was gone. I got another copy but I’m still mystified by its disappearance.

I lost my LE tarot of Montreal for almost three years once. Totally irreplaceable; I only know one other person who owns it.

I found it while tidying up. I had put it in a cigar box to keep it safe. I specialise in safe places I never find again. (I still can't find my father's gold watch. Stashed in 1989 and never seen since.)

Sorry you lost your first Sakki Sakki @Nanook 😢. Hang on to your other one, it's super OOP now and fetches good prices! Although I suspect Monicka may do more print runs one day. I remember she came to Aelectic some years ago and said it was the last of the stock she had so I ordered one. I must use it more! I'm sorry your lost your decks @vulprix I love your lamenting thread ❤️ .

When I was first getting into tarot, I had a (an awful) learning deck and bought a RWS which has stayed with me the whole time. In these early months of my journey, I was in one of those discount bookshops and of course gravitated to the divination / occult section! I found a Glastonbury Tarot on the shelf that was reduced and just randomly bought it! I tried to use it but I was learning RWS and another deck with a different style was too hard at that time to deal with and I just couldn't read with it then! So I put it somewhere! Years went by and I found out it had become OOP and was selling for a lot of money. I don't collect or sell for the financial aspect but I wanted to read with that deck and find it! I had all my decks together but only that one was missing in action! About 5 years ago I was just looking at some book shelves in my room and my eyes totally just spotted it! Just suddenly! It was with a row of regular books and it was in the shelf sideways like a book with the spine outwards (it's quite a big box). It looked like a book and was somehow in the weirdest place! I was so happy to find it and love reading with it! I think it's been reprinted because it's easy to get again. Although the cover image now is not as nice as my re-found one 😉

I have no decks missing currently yay! But I lament lost cards! I have one card missing from one tarot deck and I lost a card from an oracle whilst reading with it for someone on here 😭. A deck artist that I became quite good friends with that made a tarot deck I loved, made this oracle and published it on Printer Studio. To support my friend I bought it and when the deck came, I pay more for customs and fees than the deck and postage! 😢. It was a very expensive purchase in the end! I loved the oracle though but somehow I lost a card from it and there is no way I am buying it again! Anyway I hope my two cards from two different decks will be found one day, they are somewhere in this house 🙂 . Things seem to disappear and reappear, hopefully one day they will be found in the strangest of places 😆
