Rachelcat Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 A little more geeking on the Splendor Solis. Thinking about this kept me awake last night, so I'm glad to report the results! Splendor Solis Tarot matching the minors to the majors We know the minors numbered 3 through 9 are matched to the flask/planetary majors. But other frames of other majors are also borrowed for the minors. How do they match up? When I started sorting, I noticed that most minors have two frames, inner and outer. The flask/planetary majors are all inner frames. Minor Title Inner frame Outer frame Ace Point 1 Alchemist 2 Zodiac 10 Philosopher 2 Fountain Knight 3 Saturn 11 Young Dragon 10 Philosopher 4 Jupiter 12 Turning Birds 9 Golden Head 5 Mars 13 White Bird 8 Rebis 6 Sun 14 Triple Dragon 7 Welcoming Angel 7 Venus 15 Peacock 6 Golden King 8 Mercury 16 White Queen 5 Great Tree 9 Moon 17 Red King 4 Mountain 10 Earth 21 Mithralya 3 Royal Pair Priestess Royal 0 Accomplishment 18 Eclipse Priest Royal 0 Accomplishment 19 Child’s Play Priestess Queen 0 Accomplishment 18 Eclipse Priest King 0 Accomplishment 20 Women’s Work Here are some really bad photos of the matching. Now to actually read with the thing!
Wyrdkiss Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Amazing work @Rachelcat. Going to be cool to see some of that diligence applied to spreads in the future. What a multi-faceted deck you have there. The Rackham Oracle card I drew last night felt fitting to the question. I deemed it helpful and not as heavy as the pulls prior. I must accept with this pack, however, that a full half of the cards are quite challenging and "negative" in a traditional sense of the word. I think being selective about when I use it is key. Last nights draw, I like this one:

Bodhiseed Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 @Wyrdkiss, that Courage card makes me think of the Shakespeare quote from Midsummer's Dream: "Though she be but little she is fierce." 😊 @Rachelcat, the Splendor Solis is lovely!
