Tarot friends please!

Hey Everyone!

I thought I’d join somewhere I could possibly meet like minded people, to explore tarot with.
I’ve been reading for just over a year now, I’ve always been intuitive and I chose tarot as an outlet, I’d love to do some readings with people eventually, I mostly use tarot for myself. 
Very interesting to see others experiences with the cards. 
Does anyone else feel like they should expand their reading from cards to something else? 
If so, what tools etc did you find useful?
Oh and one of my fave decks is light seers tarot, beautiful deck!

Welcome, it’s lovely to meet you! I use tarot but I also use other type of divination methods. I like the diversity of different methods and I also like to combine systems!

Yes I believe I’m subconsciously searching for another method of outlet  but not sure in which direction to go 🤔

I’ve definitely built my collection up, I have a few favourites and some I haven’t used in a long time, inc oracle/angel cards, but I’m thinking something more outside of cards. 
Any recommendations, I’ve looked into divination a little bit, pendulum boards etc and got a few items saved lol

Hi @Charlie22! Welcome to TT&M! This is a good place for tarot friends 🙂

 

I personally resonate with and read best with tarot, Lenormand, and pendulums. I have a set of runes but they feel so specific and also culturally distant from me. I have not given them a fair shake or enough attention.

Hi Charlie, good to know you. I am quite new reading tarot and using it intuitively, too. I don't combine or expand the cards to another "tools" but I do practice mindfulness meditation and sometimes I integrate tarot with meditation. On top of that I also use tarot card as a journal prompt and it's been fun!

It's definitely worth trying out loads of different divination systems and learning about them and see what you really like. My divination journey has a lot of experimentation in it and spending time learning the basics of a method and seeing how it works for me. Some stick with me, some don't!

 

About reading with other people, when you get to 5 posts on the forum you can take part in exchanges here. Offer readings for others and get them. We also have monthly reading circles where people are paired with someone else on the forum randomly and they do a spread or assignment together. They always start in the first week of each month to sign up to, so think about them when you feel ready to join in with others 🙂

I love the Light Seer's Tarot! It's so gorgeous, isn't it!?

In terms of other systems:- intuitive artwork can be fun if you're a creative type, I made a charm oracle (you throw all the charms onto a surface and see what comes up, my charms all have a different meaning), other people have some similar with random bits and bobs they put together.  You could investigate Ogham Sticks of you're interested in the meaning of trees.

 

And you can combine them with tarot!

Yes! Light seers is definitely one of my favourites and i think that's because of the artwork, very appealing to me. I also bought another deck quite recently - Easily gilded Tarot, another deck I like..

I like the sound of the charms, thank you for the ideas, i'll definitely be investigating some of them 🙂
