thecuriosbotanica Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 I'm a Holistic reader who uses a combination of different types of practices in each of my readings such as: Oracle cards, Numerology, Astrology, Crystals, Esoteric knowledge, etc.
euripides Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Varies wildly. In part it depends on the deck - some decks, like my old friend the Spiral, and to some extent the Touchstone, I can just read so intuitively - I just let the images paint the story, you know? Some decks bring to mind the 'book meanings' and symbolism etc. that I've absorbed over the years and I kind of have to think through the meaning more carefully. Sometimes I need to really look at the specific meaning for the deck, and with a really well-written guidebook, I'll actively do that - the author and artist bring a gift of wisdom and I want to know what they have to say about it. The Gaian is one of those.
thecuriosbotanica Posted May 23, 2022 Author Posted May 23, 2022 As a beginner I started off reading intuitively and it definitely helped me learn tarot especially using the Rider Waite deck combined with index cards.
