Which tarot cards indicate black magic or any other type of spellwork is being used?

I would like to see the different types of card combinations that other readers will see during a reading to warn their clients of spellwork that is being used against them. Usually when I see the Moon come out paired with either: the 10 of wands, 10 of swords, 9 of swords, 8 of swords, the five of pentacles, the Devil, or the Magician reversed I'm certain that this is the case.

How often do you think this is really happening? Every time those pairings arise?  Context should always top pre-scripted certainty.

I do not use any pre-determined card combo interpretations. I always read cards in context of the situation and of the question asked. I don't know if you have a very specific clientele that is particularly targeted by spell work, or if you have other reasons for looking for these things in your cards. To be honest, the readers I have seen that regularly 'diagnose' situations as the result of malignant spell work are typically also the ones that offer paid services to remove said curses.

What they said. I wait to see what the cards say till I lay them out - they will tell me in one way or another if they see spell work - I have to say it has never happened to me yet. Maybe I have the wrong kind of sitter

 

I certainly don't tag any combination in advance as saying anything in particular. That feels like second guessing.

Good point. Context is everything. As I like to point out at these times - I once pulled 10 Swords for a happy marriage - and my sitter TOTALLY got it.
