WOW!  My reading interpreted the cards quite differently, but your interpretation really illuminated possibilities that I think are very fitting for my situation.  I have thought about taking the Office Mom out to tea, or dinner, or drinks or whatever.  So you really hit the nail on the head.  (Great observance about no Wands cards!)  The third person, unsure, but I am curious about how that might play out.

Glad it resonated with you!. "Office Mom" is a better description like you said. Let me know how it turns out. Thank you for the feedback...

Here's my one card for today!

You know the 'if nobody hears the tree fall...' thing... mine is 'if I'm not enrolled in a class, do I actually exist?' ... I'd taken leave from a certificate I'm studying and really need to do a subject to finish it off. This is a sort-of work-related certificate, not the Druid course I've been considering. I don't feel like I have the time/motivation for this one - it's formal, with deadlines. Spiral Tarot says: Go for it, but it's understandable if you don't.

From the Tarot of the Secret Forest, the Devil; from the Faeries' Oracle, the Pook:

It's hell season (summer) here, so I can very much relate to this card. Temperatures are at 99 F, but expected to climb to 103-105 F next week. We've had no rain in quite a while, but hordes of mosquitoes will find any bare flesh to bite and the swarms of gnats attempt to get in your eyes, nose and mouth to find moisture. These insects are a good symbol of the Devil, that part of us that feeds on what we think will help us but can hurt us in the long run. The Pook is a shapeshifter who helps others see the bad in the good and the good in the bad. He advocates for balance in our perceptions. As John Milton points out, "The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of Hell, a hell of Heaven." I can't get rid of the bugs outside, but I can work on those in my head. There is much more to focus on: the zinnias, salvia and coneflowers are blooming, and three varieties of woodpeckers are back at the feeders. But I might watch and enjoy from my screened-in back porch!

I love the tarot of the secret forest. Covered it here once I believe.

I've been incognito this week sadly. I have not even caught up with the discussion. Yet I desired to add one or two pics of my interesting deck. It is from a famous artist named Ian Miller, who has done work for Tolkien books, and a lot for the Warhammer universe. Are any of you familiar? Here's the box and back . More later.

Ooo, quite lovely/creepy!  Look forward to seeing more of it!

In the meantime, my card for today:

Knight of Pents again today. It figures. Time to keep chipping away at it. The whole deck was reversed. I need to be disciplined.

You know I don't actually own a Thoth. I should rectify this.

If keen on the thought, I hope you do. The Thoth has been my touchstone.

You seem to be considering effort and motivation.  Lon Milo Duquette, Occultist-Scholar and devoted teacher of the Thoth, says this in his book "Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot: "The Knight of Discs is unique amongst his brother Knights. He seems to be the shortest in stature, He rides a workhorse that seems to be more concerned with eying the lush grass than conveying his rider..."

Crowley, goes into far more depth, saying, "His helmet is thrown back, for at the moment his function is entirely confined to the production of food."  The author discusses a reluctant labor, and an emphasis on nutrition.  If "ill dignified" this mode of personality can fall into the dull and laborious, but overall, one gets the work done in the end.

Too much else to type, and you didn't ask for a reading -- but thank you for letting me share a few Crowley crumbs (not pun intended) and this image for you Euripides:

Then I can hardly wait to share our unboxing / flip through video!  Should be relatively soon -- maybe by early next week. Editing is a bear for YouTube.

I would love this too. Quite fond of Ian Miller’s work!

Excellent! Definitely a collector's deck more than a reading deck, as you said, but Miller's art is fantastic. Enjoyed the background music too. 😊
