Good information about the beetle.  I guess they need that if they're in the Egyptian desert! 

 

And good advice!  We're going to a football game in Ohio, so it could be hot or cool, not sure.  I'm definitely going to be wearing a big hat!

 I think there used to be a blurb about Journals in the header but it's gone now. Something about putting it in the OP of your journal. Maybe it disappeared when they revamped the forum? IDK maybe it was on another forum. Anyway, I'll know for future reference!

Just popping in for a moment to say thanks to everyone.   I couldn't have done this for so long without people signing up, and following me here when AT went offline after the participants voted where we wanted to go.  TT&M has been a great home.  

 

I enjoyed getting to know everyone here, as well as having motivation to keep up with all my decks.   It was a fun ride, and  bittersweet to let it go,

I remember you from AT @VGimlet It's been so many years hasn't it? Although I am a late comer to this party I so glad I found it! It has brought me back full-swing to tarot lately, something I really need right now. I hope you stick around and participate as much as you can. You will be missed.

I got tired of the Raven Cards and decided to swap them out with the Magic Neko Deck.

From the Songs for the Journey Home, Wave Creating (Queen of Cups); from the Magic Neko deck, Training:

 

If we're fortunate, we'll find at least one person who will listen to us deeply, ask questions, and give us honest but gentle feedback. This is the Queen of Cups specialty - providing a safe container to pour out our feelings into. Training suggests intention, yet we often train our mind, body and spirit with repeated thoughts and actions that we aren't aware of. However those repetitions form patterns which then form habits that can make us feel stuck. But we can learn to pause and bring our attention to our thoughts during the day and decide to to turn them in a more positive, beneficial direction. The same applies to our actions; we can ask if this will be helpful or harmful in the long run. I'm sure the Queen of Cups would tell us that we can change if we train with awareness, effort and intention.

I asked my Mary-El Tarot whether I should go to my friend V’s tonight to help him move heavy furniture. Here’s the kicker: I wasn’t invited. My friend D invited me instead. Everyone who was directly asked to help is a man. I normally have no issue with that, but something I have noticed is that I just don’t fit in the same way with these friends in recent times. It’s complicated. In fact, kind of hurts my feelings to be treated differently, but it’s a sort of growing pain. I have been understanding gender’s role in friendships a little differently recently. For example, just because I feel close with my male friends does not mean that they seem to respect my friendship in the same way.

 

I would be excited to go, but I’m going to see my SO over the weekend and have a lot to do myself, including studies and taking care of my two pets. So I do have reasons other than my anxieties to stay behind.

 

I am interpreting these cards (all majors!) to mean, “Hard pass—stay home and take care of your business!” But I can’t help but wonder if the Devil is telling me to get the better of myself, get over myself; and if the Hierophant’s smothering is for naught.

 

Card 11 of the Oracle of Black Enchantment has me thinking it’s time to stay in 😉

Of course!! I’m still on a Mary-El kick really 🙂 

 

(Oh, and by the way, the advice this reading offered was dead-on. My roommate went and from what I learned afterward, I would have felt eager to leave!)
